|
|
After about 4 years my Ipod Mini broke. (it was my fault for changing batteries) Now I need a new one.
I need one that does nothing but play MP3s. I don't want that has unneeded gimmicks like internet or texting on a product that was meant to only play MP3s. Also it needs to have a screen.
so far I have been leaning toward this the Fuze
Do you, members of Scorehero, know of some good suggestions. |

Yea, Ipods are the best however, all the new ones are either too small (Nano has no screen) or to gimmicky (Ipod touch) or expensive (Ipod Classic) |

How much music do you have? I would get the iPod Classic, you can't beat the storage (120GB) or a Zune which also has the same size. If you're on a PC I would get either though Zune is a little more friendly with music formats. If you have a Mac no questions asked iPod. If you want a smaller size than 120GB get the 16GB iPod nano (can use sideways due to accelerometer) or the 8GB Zune.
Also you can buy a radio for your ipod, it's called the iPod radio remote. _________________

Can't go wrong with the iPod Classic. Large amount of storage, no unnecessary bullshit and they're way down in price these days. _________________

The touchscreen interface works brilliantly and, once jailbroken, it's the best multimedia player of them all. |

I have the touch, and it's awesome. Anyways, search your local Craigslist for an ipod video or classic. With a minute of searching, I found one for like $125 for a 30GB Video. _________________

I will try Craigslist now and then if nothing is there then check out the walkman and Zune. Thanks guys
About the Ipod Touch being full of gimmicks, I need an ipod that plays music like the mini not one with internet, touchscreen (that had to be heat sensored), all those unneeded (yet sometimes fun) apps, youtube, and email. An ipod touch is basically a super small computer but thats what laptops are for. |

Why does everyone say Ipod? They're overpriced and their sound quality is bottom-of-the-bunch.
I have had two Ipods and a Sansa Clip and the clip is waaaaay better. |

I too don't see why everyone loves iPods. There are better, more resonably priced ones. The one I had didn't last very long.
I can't really recommend anything, but I have used Samsungs, Creatives and Sony's in the past. Samsung was the best one, lasted a hell of a long time, with decent sound quality. _________________

The thing with the iPod is how user-friendly it has become. I mean just look at the iPod touch, it has everything a consumer could ask for in just about any device. And even for simpletons like myself it's really easy to put music on it because of iTunes which does all of the work for me. I will agree to the fact the quality of production has gone down, I can tell the difference in sound in my new 120GB Classic vs. my 2G 8GB nano vs. 5G iPod 30GB. Apple can get away with this stuff though because it's not extremely noticeable and you need a good ear to find it. Also the quality of production has gone down, my click wheel isn't as grand as my nano's or 30GB video. With that being said, I still love the iPod: thecaptainof wrote: | Can't go wrong with the iPod Classic. And they're probably cheaper on eBay or craigslist, you can find them for $170 or so _________________
