This tournament's been pretty insane so far; Federer with two scares, the epic Isner-Mahut match going on, and a few other good upsets. Just made this thread to discuss the tournament.

Went to CiCi's Pizza yesterday and they were broadcasting some matches on the TVs there. Was pretty excited about it and came home to watch the games only to find out that my dish network is all whacked out So sadly, I'm missing these games until the Dish Network people can get over here and fix my cable. Pretty disappointed that I'm missing some good matches.
I don't keep up with tennis much but I'm pulling for Roddick. I know my best friend back home is doing the same. |

I could take a flight around the globe right now, come back, and this match still wouldn't be over. >_> I don't get how neither player has fainted yet from this.
Also, Federer seems to be really shaky ever since the French Open...maybe he really is starting to fade? _________________

Taking a picture of my TV if it ever gets to 40-40 40-40
The winner of this is a LITTLE lucky that they play De Bakker, who won 16-14. That's really the only thing going for them. And can John "Isnot" Isner get to 100 aces? |

Yeah I tuned in around 30 all hoping to just catch a glimpse of the end so I could say that I watched some of it, but it has still gone on for like an hour longer. It's just insane because I remember one time in basketball practice we had to run for like 2 hours, and I thought I was gonna die, but this is absolutely insane. I think they are nearing 7 and a half hours now or something crazy! |

Well, they just said they have been on this one set for about 5 hours. What an awesome day for sports. USA wins and now we are watching History. |

One thing to note: the over/under on the number of GAMES that would be played in this MATCH was 42.5. The 5th set has alone DOUBLED that amount. |

That's what I was thinking, too. Neither have the energy to break serve. It'll probably be tomorrow when they finish. _________________

They just compared it to an ultra marathon (something like 100 miles)
