You'd be amazed how easily something like this happens. I was updating some of the forum stuff on the site I've been working on (see my sig), and I accidentally flipped the permissions on our Admin Ban Policies thread. Fortunately I caught it while looking around with my dummy account; it could've been really bad otherwise...
Edit @ Ad134: It's actually fairly easy to write a script for it, if you're familiar with the code structure. Maybe SH is different from my site, but I wrote some tracking stuff for my site in about 2-3 hours. _________________

I gotta be honest, my first thought was "Why in the hell would they promote me?"
But shortly after I remembered what day it was _________________

Yes, but nothing on the forum has been changed other than this permission change. _________________

Are you sure? There are a lot of behind-the-scenes options, too. It wouldn't surprise me if they were tweaking a different option, and accidentally had a stray click in the permissions section... My laptop touchpad is notorious for that kind of stuff... _________________

That seems just a little ridiculous (hopefully) |
That made me literally laugh out loud. "Ban Random User"
And I find it funny that the wiki page explaining how to use the Admin page was made two days ago, and we are not allowed to view it. _________________

Also its quite funny to read the Mods freaking out in the April fools day thread.

I remember on one of my old forums, this one particular person could always see my staff forum, and not anyone else unless they were in the correct group. I thought of it as kind of strange. _________________

I think the best part of this whole thing is the fake admin tools page they set up.
