So, GH:WT recently came out for Mac/PC, and I've heard some discussion on what set of instruments to get. I've heard some people say that the PS3 instruments work fine, but someone on these forums said that the 360 instruments with the wireless controller-to-USB thing works best. That's all well and good for the PC, but what about the Mac version of the game? Do the PS3 instruments "just work" like a couple websites said they might, or is the 360 set the way to go, and does that even work on MacOSX? Needless to say, I'm confused, and hoping that someone here has the answer.

Sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong board, by the way.

well i dont know about mac

i use a 360 controller with the usb adapter and it works perfect

i dont know if it will work on a mac cause 360 is microsoft :P and the drivers for the usb adapter are from microsoft so ....

the ps3 controller needs a software to map the buttons, but if you buy the WTguitar you dont need anything to use it on WT, it just works

and if you use a ps3 controller the whammy doesnt work on GH3 and GHA..

I'm covered on the guitar front, and am pretty sure I can figure out the microphone, it's the drums that worries me. Any word on whether the PS3 drumset works with Mac/PC? If not, I'll try the 360 set.

The PS3 set may work, if not, you could use joy2key, I'm pretty sure there is a link showing how to use it here, but I couldn't find it on the controller compatibility guide, hope I helped.

My PS3 drumset was recognized by my Mac, but idk if it would be in-game. You could always use ControllerMate IV to map the keys of anything to the respective controllers really.
