I like SOME of the RHCP music, so for now, i'm not gonna be excited. However, will wait for an announcment , and then a setlist.
Its all the waiting game now to find out about this. |

I love RHCP, and I couldn't really care about thesetlist. A decent 2X songs of RHCP is fine for me.
It would also make sense out of not having the RHCPs since GH3 while Chad Smith was testing the GH:WT drums. |

Cool. This could be really interesting.
Not sure about vocals, though. Lots of talkies? Or lots of odd charting? Could be really easy or REALLY hard. _________________

Also, flea bass with open notes is gonna be lots of fun. |
this. and they better have Aeroplane in it, i dunno why but i freakin' love this song ! probably because its the first ever video clip i've saw on TV hehehe |
It does have the greatest bassline ever

First 10 years are going to be a lot of talkies, however after that it won't be easy. |

I'll be very happy if Snow is in there.
You think we might get Dani California or Suck my Kiss (though the latter was in GH3)? _________________

Here's a realistic setlist I came up with using the 28 song template by GH:VH. I didn't make it exactly 25 or exactly 28 because I don't think its always the same but whatever.
(LA, Hillel Slovak on guitar, Jack Irons on drums, First 3 Albums/1983-1987)
True Men Don't Kill Coyotes
Get Up and Jump
Blackeyed Blonde
Fight Like a Brave
Me and My Friends
(TV Show?, John Frusciante on guitar, Chad Smith on drums, Mother's Milk/1989)
Higher Ground
Knock Me Down
Taste the Pain
(The Mansion, Blood Sugar Sex Magik/1991)
Under the Bridge
Give it Away
Suck My Kiss
Breaking the Girl
Soul to Squeeze
(Woodstock '94, Dave Navarro on guitar, One Hot Minute/1995)
Aeroplane
Warped
My Friends
(Some big venue, John Frusciante on guitar, Californication/1999)
Californication
Scar Tissue
Otherside
Around the World
Parallel Universe
(Hyde Park, By the Way/2002)
By the Way
Can't Stop
The Zephyr Song
Fortune Faded (Greatest Hits song)
(Grammy's or some large stage, Stadium Arcadium/2006)
Dani California
Snow ((Hey Oh))
Tell Me Baby
Hump de Bump
(???, Josh Klinghoffer on guitar, ???/2011)
???
Guest Artists (Some have songs and some don't)
Parliament/Funkadelic- ??? (Possible guest appearance by George Clinton)
Jane's Addiction- Been Caught Stealing (Possible guest appearance by Perry Farrell)
Atoms For Peace (Thom Yorke)- ??? or Radiohead- Paranoid Android
Alanis Morrissette- You Oughta Know
Iggy Pop and the Stooges- Search and Destroy (Possible guest appearance by Iggy Pop)
Jimi Hendrix- Castles Made of Sand (doubt it)
Nirvana- All Apologies (Unplugged)
Foo Fighters- My Hero (Possible guest appearance by Dave Grohl)
Rage Against the Machine- Guerrilla Radio
The Mars Volta- Inertiatic ESP
Gnarls Barkley- Crazy
Pearl Jam- Jeremy
Chickenfoot- Oh Yeah
Fishbone- ???
Thelonious Monster- ???
Ataxia or John Frusciante- ???
Looking Glass- Brandy
Primus- ???
____________
The main issue I have with this game is that it will probably only have the current lineup throughout, screwing with the history and alienating certain albums and the such.

i was actually thinking about this myself, anthony keidas has a very weird style, and lets not forget, NS pulls no punches when it comes to charting talkies (sweating bullets, anyone?). so im leaning towards the latter option, but overall i think the chillis would be a good choice for a band game, as hailz said earlier, they arent to hard on anything, cept maybe vox, but certainly have the potential for some fun charts, especcially bass obv, and they are well known enough and well respected enough to warrent getting their own game imo. or this could just turn out to be nothing, time will tell i guess |

BTW, who will be the guitarist ?
Frusciante ? That'd be great, but now that he's out...
Klinghoffer ? No studio album with him so far...
Both ? That'd be great. |

OMG, if this is true, that'd be awesome. I was listening to Stadium Arcadium thinking that would be good on drums last night. _________________

This actually seems really awesome, if this follows through. Mostly, I just want to play guitar on and sing Snow (Hey Oh), but all of their stuff is pretty awesome. _________________

Do. Want. NOW.
Seriously, RHCP is probably my favorite band just for listening purposes, and they have a ton of songs that I'm sure would be fun when charted out. Pretty freaking awesome. _________________

Now, ignoring Kotaku's (and the comment section on Kotaku.com) obvious hate for anything Guitar Hero related, this might actually be a good game. I really enjoy RHCP, especially all of the tracks they have had on rhythm games so far. Blood Sugar Sex Magik was a fun album to play on Rock Band. IF this is true, then this would be an interesting competitor to Green Day Rock Band. It's sad how the hate bandwagon has increased for rhythm games on these gaming sites, Rock Band and Guitar Hero alike. They just don't get how addicting and fun these games are, and wonder why there's so many of them. This is the same kind of mentality that let to music games declining in the first place, before GH and RB. It's like these games never get treated fairly.
It's like I said earlier, if the game is solid, why should there be an issue with more than one game coming out per year? Last time I checked game companies can do whatever the hell they want to. I know it's like, against every game-industry related thing to come out with multiple, similar games (like Beatles Rock Band/Rock Band 2, GH Metallica/World Tour, etc.), but seriously, these guys need to give it a break (Kotaku, Joystiq). If it's fun, and if it looks interesting to me as a game then I will play it. Sometimes it's best to work with something that isn't broken, and is proven to provide hours of fun, than to come up with something new and completely screw up with it (like Tony Hawk Ride). _________________

My only complaint:
GHRHCP is a really.. weird acronym.
Guitar Hero: Red Hot Chili Peppers is pretty much as weird as the acronym.
Other than that, RHCP are by and large amazing and this game should be full of great music if not extreme difficulty (on a couple instruments). |
