Fug explained it best...those expert players are looking for a squeezing competition that most likely will not happen in the expert league.

I remember reading about that, and it's totally understandable to want that. But is there any way that in the league, there could be something like a squeezing division (similar or identical to the Hard-OB) where only scores that have 100% notes hit qualify? That way the squeezers get the competition they want without leaving all the players that legitimately belong in hard by the wayside without a glimmer of a chance to win. I'm just saying that it would really suck for me to FC a song for the first time and still not even be in the top 20 because everyone above me is proficient at squeezing.

Wow...this isn't a bad idea at all

i hope that between Fug, Bj0rn and i, theres at least SOME squeezing competition on expert

fluff, i think you should look into rivalries. leagues is pretty much gonna be everyone going all out, no matter what you sign up for. you can customize a rivalry so that its only people around your skill level competing

I decided to only sign up for GH3X only and not GH3H as well, because I'm no squeezing wizard and although I'm relatively good at it on Expert compared to the vast majority of players at my skill level, I think in the Hard leagues I wouldn't have much chance, and also I'm looking to improve my skill level at the moment and not my squeezing skills :P

I'm sad they decided to omit GH DLC league, that's the only thing I really had a chance in. My drums are broken and being shipped back atm, so I have no hope at drums
Just doing GH:WoR Expert Guitar and vocals, I'll see how far I can get lol

I hope my ps3 makes it back in time for leagues. I sent it off yesterday and they told me 7-10 business days at the max.

I'll be pissed if I can't participate lol

As with almost all leagues, it's not "omitted", if there was enough interest, it would be there. Blame your fellow GH DLC players for not signing up for it. The commishes are just as bummed as you at the lack of DLC leagues. Running a league with 3 people in it is just pointless.

Same here. You have me thumped on the number of FC's, but I think Expert is where I need to go. I know those charts better, and, like you, I'm looking to play what I enjoy, and not get into an all-out squeezefest. Unless there were divisions in the Hard league.. But I don't see how the commish(es) would know if there are going to be divisions or not until the registration is final.

So, I'll just go with Expert. It's what I know and love, and even though I'm going to get killed, I'm sure I'll improve. I did last time, anyways.

well, I THINK I could at least put up some fight. Don't count on it though.

At least it won't just be you vs. 2 other people.

WoR Vox players PLEASE NOTE:

It has come to our attention that there is a HUGE difference in the vocals engine in Wii versus 360 and PS3. So much that it would be completely unfair to pit these consoles against each other. Unfortunately since we're only now finding out about this after signups have started and about half the current signups are Wii, we're left with limited options. If the current number of signups hold we will split WoR Vox into two divisions - Wii, and PS3/360. If (and only if) there are a bunch of dropouts, we may be forced to cancel the WoR Vox league which we do NOT want to do.

Wait...what?

I was not aware of this. There was a sizeable difference in GH5 as well in favor of the 360/PS3. I thought it returned closer with WoR but aren't points given the same so it shouldn't be too bad?

Yes, very sure. The same person has tested songs on both systems using the same paths and found very big differences. Way too much difference to expect PS3 and 360 people to compete with Wii people. Check out the SH top scores on Wii versus 360, or for a more complete picture, the online leaderboards at guitarhero.com.

Why not just have a Wii division and a ps3/360 division. That way, the Wii players still get to play.

If only I would have thought of that!
