Hey tharr. I recently got bored of the original songs on GH3, so I decided to try some customs, which eventually led to me getting Soulless. With a few days of practice I've gotten quite consistant on all sections of it on Slow except 3 main ones, so I'd appreciate if you guys could give me a bit of help with them. I'll give you my methods and you give me yours, and I'll try them out :P

The freticons *should* be right, my apologies if I'm made a little error somewhere

Tradeoff Intro (part of it anyway) - The main problem I have is with the transitions, I just seem to break combo all the time in this part of the section.

I start with an elbow strum, I anchor green at all times, and anchor the note after the green when tapping the higher note.

3212*212*212*212*212*212*212*212*212*212*212*212*212*212*21

Fucked Solo

Start with an elbow strum again. There has to be an easier method than this, it seems horribly inconsistant.

1*1*2*3*1*1*2*3*1*1*2*3*3*2*1*1

Mega Solo

Okay, I can't make any sense whatsoever with the start of this section.. but should I be able to? It hurt my head trying to do the freticons so I gave up with that, but I'm sure you know which section I mean. It's the really fast part after the bridge. I'm a 60 FC GH3X player, and this seems way way over my head, is it even worth me bothering to try and comprehend this section?

Thanks!

i first would like to point out that i am not the best player ever but i think i might be able to help you a little.

that part of the intro i one hand in real runs (i hit 99% of it) but when i practice i tap the same notes as you, i think its just a matter of practice practice practice until you can do it at full speed

i cant really help you with fucked solo, i dont practice that bit of the song (i find it a little boring)

with mega solo i assume its just the beginning that confuses you, when you slow it down you see it is just descending triplets (the best kind of triplets) personally i one hand this and can almost get it at full speed, i can get it on slow every time. i dont know how good you are at tapping but if you think it is too fast for you to one hand you could probably do some alt tapping although that would be pretty hard to learn.
EDIT: just watched a video, there is a sneaky extra note in mega that makes it not all triplets in the begining but that doesnt really change my advice

@Drazar

Your method for Tradeoff Intro is the same as mine, and it works well with me. Just practice it and you'll be fine

For Fucked Solo, i really can't help you because i miss it sometimes too. But you can try tapping the oranges with your middle finger, and blues with your index finger. Fret everything else with your left hand.

(Fucked Solo standard tapping method)

Sorry to say but that is probably going to be the easiest possible method for that section. Alt-tapping the Cliffs of Dover pattern (trills where the bottom note changes) is generally not a good idea; it's really difficult (much more so than the standard tapping method that you are using) and entirely unnecessary for Fucked Solo since it's really not that fast. Trust me, that method will get easier/more consistent the more you practice it.

Thanks for the input so far guys, it's kinda good to know I have good methods for those sections, and have been practicing them a bit, I can get the Intro on Slow consistently now and sometimes on full speed, and sometimes get the Fucked Solo, but the hard part of that for me is the transition from the previous section (I assume you have to elbow strum it), if I hit that strum then I'm usually fine, the hardest part in that section was actually regaining a combo after missing the strum at the start. I 1-hand the Cliffs intro, so this is the first time I've had to tap a pattern like this, but I think I am making progress with these sections

The start of Mega Solo still hurts my head though.. am I supposed to tap the oranges? It's a bit too fast for me to 1-hand

Is your GHTracks song a full version of the song? I have it, but it's just the intro and the "mega solo" :/

I meant, do you anchor red while playing yellow or blue, I'm not sure you understood.
Shaff : You can't play a song created on another console than yours. If you're on xbox, you can't play a song a ps3 player created for example, you can only play songs made by xbox players.

You do realise that Shaffx95 is on Xbox, just like me?
And I sometimes anchor Red. On yellow and Blue I don't but on Orange I do..

Tradeoff Intro:

3212*212*212*212*212*212*212*212*212*213*312*212*212*213*31

Fucked Solo:

Start with an elbow strum, it's the only way you'll be able to hit this in a real run unless you have super-cat-like reflexes.

1*2*3*3*1*2*3*3*1*2*3*3*3*2*1*1

Mega Solo:

this one is just all over the place. here's the only method i can hit it with. i use 3 fingers so if you use pinky, you could just adjust this accordingly.

321321321*21*3213213212113212113213213213213213213213211321112333211321132111233211233211233211233211231231231231231231231231233

I actually only use 3 fingers as well for the most part, and that Mega Solo method helped me out loads, thank you

As far as the other sections go I can hit them on FS occasionally, just needs practice and more practice I guess, almost broke 700k last night
