Ok, so it's not as simple as "just plug it in and play" for me.
I have the Xbox X-Plorer guitar and when plugged into my laptop the light on the controller will go on for a few seconds and then go out. The device installation of the controller will show a failed installation message, but will still showup under devices as an X-plorer guitar although it does not work when the game starts up.
I've tried simply unplugging it and plugging it back in, to no avail. When I search for drivers automatically it finds none. When I try to find drivers myself I get dead links or a Microsoft page saying "Oops, we've moved stuff around ^_^!" The ones I have found I installed and nothing changes (I'm not really sure how drivers work, though).
This has become extremely annoying and any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm using Windows-7 64bit if that helps you help me any.
I have been having the same problem! I don't understand why my guitar isn't registering on my computer. Thank you for posting this, WildGrim - hope you get assistance! _________________
