Hey at least for here which I count as competitive, the fact that they kept the regular star power is a good thing for this community. While the other power ups are gimmicky, if the game is good overall I don't mind. _________________

Any power up that would make an FC easier kills me a little inside. Probably just the purist in me, idk. _________________

So Double Multiplier? |
It's either the same, almost always worse, or, it would seem to me, almost always better than regular SP. @.@
Edit: Possible ways Score Chaser could work given a chart that is 4/4, normal SP drain, completely sixteenth notes with 8 SP phrases, the second SP phrase ends on note 100 of the song, 4th phrase ends on note 300:
Activate note 101 of song, multiplier temporarily can reach x8. Activate again on note 301, temporarily can reach x8 again only.
-objectively worse than SP if it starts counting multiplier when activated
-same as SP if it credits you for "already" building multiplier on notes 41-80 (seems unlikely it would work this way, but this works just like SP... at first.)
Activate note 101 of song, multiplier temporarily can reach x8. Next activation, on note 301, can't your multiplier cap double again to x16?
-worst score case: you have to build your multiplier from x4 to x8 during first SP duration and from x8 during 2nd SP duration. But this is better than regular SP in most cases.
-middle case: again, you are credited for "already building" your x16 multiplier (again, seems wonky/counterintuitive). Better than SP.
-insane score case: if the only temporary feature of the hero power is the window you can build your multiplier, but your multiplier is still x8 when SP ends.
-Also, the path-ruining case (the only way it could work like this is if there are other, unrevealed hero powers that could at least rival this one in this state): On activation of SP, max multiplier cap is doubled, but there is no SP duration. Regardless of if it "credits" you for previous multiplier building as previously mentioned, this would make (nearly?) every path "get SP, activate SP immediately for each activation".
A lot of speculation obviously (or not obvious, because this post is a vomitous mess), but I'm kind of hoping Score Chaser is worse than "regular SP" or identical, as silly as that might be. The problem is the given quote implies Score Chaser is better for score than Double multiplier/regular SP. "Regular score multipliers won't cut it."
Edit 2: Or, if it works better than SP, Scorehero will treat it like the powers in GH:WoR, as RobGHH said. |

maybe it'll go from 4x to 8x to 16x and double every time you use it. Unlikely, but feasible considering they already have a star power thing. _________________

I think I recognize three of those bands. And those three all suck. I don't have high hopes for the others right now. _________________

Continuing to be a very underwhelming selection of songs. Don't care about anyone in that and I'm not much for early Disturbed...ugghh...Their streaming music crap better be amazing with how poor this soundtrack is looking. I'm only thinking of grabbing this cause it's on older systems and I can't get Rock Band 4 for a long time. |

Who needs any of that dog shit when you've got Disturbed, Asking Alexandria and OneRepublic
