Okay, so I think how the end of the Lou boss battle works.
The chart for DWTTG includes an extra part of the song that is played after beating the boss. As seen from revup90's video of beating the whole battle using a bot and the no fail cheat, when the player gets eliminated by the Death Drain, no notes are being shown for about 7 seconds. Until then, the final section where Lou is defeated plays.
When you beat Lou and the screen shows "Now finish him!," the game uses a mechanic to switch part of the song to where Lou gets eliminated.
According to some features when I tried making Custom Guitar Battles, when a song is completed, as a battle, the boss gets elimin8d. Since no fail can get you to finish the whole boss song, which I don't know how revup was still able to do that, the ending is played two times. This is because of how, again the same mechanic switches the song to the ending of it. And, a Death Drain is included, probably to still sort of stop the player from getting to the "Now finish him!" part without actually defeating Lou with power-ups.
I tried to word this as best I can. _________________
