Yesterday. I'm very excited. It's the Greek word "Agape". It's one of the three words for love in Greek; the unconditional love.
Any other tattoos out there? |

I am very sorry that you had to indulge in marking your body with these ugly markings.
Don't worry. I'm sure god still loves HIS body that he loaned to you.

Wow...I really don't think that was necessary...if you don't have something nice to say don't say anything at all.
Anyways..
Nice Tat. I've always wanted to get one myself. Black and white tattoo of Randy Rhoads on my shoulder is my dream tat. |

You sure are intolerant for someone that apparently follows every single rule in the bible/other book of rules.
TC: Nice tat, but the place you got it is kinda . I'm thinking of getting one of my own soon. _________________

I respect your opinion. We've all got our own.
In my original post, I said Agape was one of the three loves, but there are actual several in Greek, but there are four major types.
I thought it was really funny when I told one of my friends on AIM that I'd just got a tattoo and the first thing he asked was "Is it Guitar Hero related?" xD. |

Leviticus 19:27 "Don't cut the hair on the sides of your head or trim your beard."
We can choose to debate back and forth about what scripture we should take literally in our lives, but to me no fruit comes from debating religious texts. "Love one another". That's what I'm focused on. |

Isn't there also something in the bible about not judging others or something to that effect?
Anyways, nice tattoo, Project. _________________

You can make scripture into anything you want. Look at Thomas Jefferson. He cut out bible verses he didn't like. The end result was probably the saddest excuse for a holy book I've ever seen.
My pastor has a cross tatooed on his ankle, and he is one of the holiest guys I know.
NOT TO START A FLAME WAR. I RESPECT YOUR OPINION AS WELL.
OT:
The day I'm out from under my parent's rule, I'm getting several tatoos and maybe one or two piercings. That one turned out a-pretty-pretty-good. _________________

There are actually several people at my church who have tattoos. I remember hearing someone say once "It's not the practice, but the motive behind it." I like that. Also, as far as the whole whether or not people should get tattoos thing, I think there are much larger issues concerning us. Poverty, for one. We often get distracted by little things, and we tend to ignore what the world needs us to do.
[/rants xD]
OT: Yes, I'm very happy with my decision. I've been telling people that I'm officially badass now. It just has that effect. It didn't hurt as much as I thought it would, either. I might get another one someday, but for now, I'm good on needles for a while xD. |
