|
|
This happens when I import via the Score Hero spreadsheet.
So basically, most of my high scores are in quickplay mode, there are a ton of high scores, mostly 5 stars, however, since there's no star keeping in Quickplay, it displays as N/A. It will always do this until my career mode 5 star score is higher than the Quickplay 5 star scores. Is there any way to make it detect the highest score out of the two, AND, just grab any possible star ratings listed in career mode no matter what? |

Yeah I noticed this as well. I suppose it could assign the career mode rating to the quickplay scores, as long as the career mode score is less. However this guarantees the rating will not be higher than it should be, but it could be too low.
I'd prefer to keep all the data accurate which is why I left out the rating in this case (since it's unknown). If Disc wants to work on a v0.8 spreadsheet to also contain ratings within the quickplay section, then I could incorporate this data.
Eventually when we have enough scores entered in the system, I might be able to determine the exact cutoff values for 4-stars and 5-stars on each song. Then I would be able to assign the rating based on the score, but as of now this is not possible. _________________

alright, that's cool, I can deal with an improper number of 5 star song listed, as lon as the high scores are there, that's all that matters to me.
I'll see if I can work together a graphic for the score signature. |

I will look into that. The original design decision not to put stars in the quickplay sheet is that GH does not track them in that mode.
On another (sort of related note) I noticed this post from Fireblade in the GH forums http://forum.guitarherogame.com/Default.aspx?g=posts&t=1772. I think one of us should address it to show that this site is in fact accurate and that the uploading multiple names in a Scorehero spreadsheet issue has been addressed.
Obviously it means that a user cannot upload his scores twice or that if he does that the select for update does a MAX(score) on the existing data to preserve what is already there. I'm designing a Head-to-Head page right now and I'll design Import/Export scores for it also. It would be nice to be able to get the scores out of scorehero.com and back into a spreadsheet if a user wants to.

I've been doing some testing myself to try and prove the "cutoff theory" wrong. But so far I've seen no proof indicating this. I played around with "I Love Rock & Roll - Expert" and I'm almost positive there is a cutoff for 5-stars at 76,500.
If you (or anyone) can provide two screenshots with a 4-star score higher than a 5-star for the same song/difficulty as you're saying then I will dismiss the theory. But after hours of testing I haven't been able to create this scenario. _________________

I have very similar results for my trials on "I Love Rock & Roll" - Expert, although I didn't document each score. But I did confirm that exactly 76,500 is 5-stars, and 76,494 is 4-stars, and I got a higher % and combo with a score slightly less than 76,500 just as you did which turned out to be 4-stars.
So, I too agree that raw score is the deciding factor. At least until someone can provide screenshots to suggest otherwise. _________________
