And a SP phrase is during it, so that's a huge problem for me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Strum at a steady pace for all notes up till the quick two yellows. Strum those two and then hammer on the next two notes.

The way I get the end of that section is by treating the yellow's as a triplet. So instead of "dun da da dun dun," I do "da da da dun dun". So you'd play the middle yellow note exactly halfway between the other two yellows. The game doesn't care that you're not doing the exact rhythm...it's still close enough. Oh, and alt-strumming is a given. Much easier.

I use 2-3-3-1 but I feel, because I can't combo the solo for the life of me, that using the third activation the SECOND you get it allows you to scrape 2 in for the last activation leaving you with a full bar. Activating it when the notes return on the first yellow gets rid of those yucky holds at the end :P.

I totally agree...my scores that way are consistently higher than if i whammy those last two fully and use it on the solo which i completely butcher every time.
