|
|
Since we now have over 12,000 users and the list is ever-growing, 'Browse Scores' and 'Compare Users' have been updated with a "Find User" feature to make searching for users easier, and also to reduce the load times on those pages.
Enjoy, and let me know if you come across any issues. _________________

If you type in a name that isn't in the system and hit Select User, the page just refreshes. I know that was probably intentional, but I can kinda see people posting things like this in Bug Reports:
I TYIPD IN MY USRNAME AND NOTHNGI HAPPNED WTF IS GOING ON YOURE SITE SUCKSSSSSS
and then
OOOOPS I TYPED MY NAME RONG LOLOLOLOLOL
So maybe a "User not found, try Find User or check your spelling" message? _________________

Wow, now Compare Users is exponentially less painful on my slow-ass computer, thank you JC. _________________

Sweet. I don't know what difference others are seeing, but for me those pages are now loading much faster. |

Fucking awesome JC, good work! I'm not sure which I'm more happy about. The actual implementation, or the fact that people will stop bitching.
EDIT: The find user thing kind of confuses me though. Maybe I'm an idiot (well....I am, but I digress), but if I know the exact name of the user, I will press "Select User". If I don't, I suppose that's when I use Find User. But if I type in a name similar to the one I'm looking for (say, with a 1 after), nothing even comes up. So I'm not sure if this is kind of broken, or if I'm missing something. _________________
