So awhile ago I just started getting into SC (I've had it since Grade 6, I think I just cheated through the campaign and stopped XD), watching some English commentary on YouTube, etc., and right now I've gotten maybe 5-6 friends to occasionally SC over Hamachi. I'm wondering for all you pro people out there, where's a good place to sort of start acquiring information, general build orders, blah blah? I'm thinking teamliquid.net forums, anywhere else...? |

Definitely TeamLiquid, they are far superior to GosuGamers :3
TL.net should honestly have everything you could ever need in terms of information, strategies, build orders, and theory on StarCraft (much like how SH is the place to go for all things Guitar Hero/Rock Band). Also, keep on watching a lot of professional games... either live or VODs. You learn a lot from them. |

Yeah, that's what I thought, but I haven't really found a real sort of Beginner's Guide on TL, everything I read is like "what if P goes 2 gate FE blah blah" and I have no idea what they're talking about :P |

Bump.
I'm slowly getting back into SC, and I suck balls. So obviously, I want to get into good shape (good being highly subjective here, interpret it however you want as long as it doesn't have the word "Korean" in it). Don't care if I play someone that I'll easily beat or someone that will wipe the floor with me; I just need some play experience.
With that said, I recall that time where I set up the channel "op scorehero" and it completely fucking failed (main reason is due to the US West vs. US East BAWWWfest). Should I try again? Would there be any interest in this?
If I were to create another channel bot, note that I have preference to US West for 2 reasons: (1) I am completely selfish and US West is my server, (2) Koreans are on US West. 'Nuff said. Note that I am totally willing to swap to US East as to make things less laggier for European players (if any express interest). |

Yes.
I mean, I don't play all that often, but I could do some matches with you or someone else.
I'm not to good either.
And I haven't played in a couple months as well.
EDIT:
Plus, I gotta find my disc. >_> |

I'll join the Hamachi sever once I'm not lazy >_>
Also, I don't think you need to edit the OP with live games. If people are interested in live games, then they probably follow competitive SC to some degree which means they also visit sites like TL.net and GG.net (i.e. those who will be interested probably already watch them :P)
Anyway, lolAce. Gogo Reach and Boxer. |
