The other night I was driving back from out of town with my girlfriend falling asleep in the passenger seat, with the Colma album by Buckethead playing, since the music from that one is really chill and relaxing... anyways the volume was fairly high and when the last song "Colma" was playing it staretd making the random loud serial killer noises it scared her awake, pretty badly. I didn't laugh much but it was really funny. I honestly hadn't known those were in that song.

But the creepiest song I know is probably Suicide Trees by Otep, no question. Listening through headphones while walking down a tree-lined dirt road in the country at night makes you feel like you're going insane. First 20 seconds are especially creepy, and the harsh vocals in the last minute are so powerful and hateful.

The last minute in Burden by Opeth is also creepy.
And I hate the Egyptian singing in Nile's song .

Just discuss here any songs or song parts that scare you. And yes, Screamo and Death Metal songs are allowed.

I got to say, no songs completely scare me (not that I can think of at the moment), but the part in Blackened by Metallica where the lyrics are:
Metallica wrote:
See your mother (see your mother),
Put to death,
See your mother die
sends chills down my spine. Just the image produced in my head scare me. It also has to do with the way it's sung and played.

So, ScoreHero, what song or song sections creep you out?

It's actually 'see our mother die,' I guess referring to the Earth or whatever... When I found that out it made the line a lot less creepy.

Also the song Addicted to Vaginal Skin by Cannibal Corpse is terrifying.

Once I listened to Mastodon's Remission album, and fell asleep...that is, until the 'hidden' part of Elephant Man came in (at about 6:40) and startled me awake. I guess normally it wouldn't have.

Same thing happened when I was listening to a Swans album. Some industrial noises like a steel press or something.

That "sigh" at the very beginning of Beast and the Harlot. I always listen to my songs with max volume, even while in bed, and every time that song came up, it kinda scared me at first. It still does, a bit.

True that.

Added to the list, Disturbed's "Down with the Sickness" part where the mother and child have the fight. It's well... disturbing. Guess that band suceeded, huh?

When I first heard the intro to Blackened (Metallica), I thought it could be used for music in a movie when someone dies. If you are sad, never listen to that intro; it may cause severe depression.

But because it's backwards, it sounds trippy as.
