I agree with most of the people in this thread, it just sounded like random wailing. TDWDTGs Solos were fantastic, and I am man enough to say I cry a little when I hear it. It's really good.
I think it went like this:
Neversoft Guy 1:Okay, we have finished GH:Aerosmith, lets move on to World Tour.
Neversoft Guy 2:It seems like we're forgetting something...
Neversoft Guy 3:SHIT! WE FORGOT TO PUT A BOSS BATTLE IN!
Neversoft Guy 2:What are we gonna do!? We're Screwed!
Neversoft Guy 4:There will be riots in the streets! Everyone loved battle mode!
Neversoft Guy 1:Calm down! I'll just ring up Joe and ask him to make a battle for us.
*Ring Ring*
Joe Perry:This had better be important! It's 1 in the morning!
Neversoft Guy 1:Uhhh...Mr.Perry? We forgot to put in a boss battle.
Joe Perry:So?
Neversoft Guy 1:Well...we need you to come down here. Recorded a little song for us.
Joe Perry:Do I get paid extra?
Neversoft Guy 1:Um, I'll pay for your Cab fare?
Joe Perry:Deal!
*28 minutes later*
Neversoft Guy 3:Mr.Perry! You're here!
Joe Perry:Eh, lets get this out of the way.
Neversoft Guy 2:Okay Mr.Perry, here's a guitar.
Joe Perry:This isn't my guitar!
Neversoft Guy 2:Um, I know.
Joe Perry:Where's my guitar! I won't play without it.
Neversoft Guy 2: Do you have it at your house?
Joe Perry:Yes! Go get it!
*1 hour later*
Neversoft Guy 2:I got your guitar Mr.Perry!
Joe Perry:Thank you. Now, to flex some creative muscle!
*In the studio...*
Neversoft Guy 1:Okay Mr.Perry, now, we need you to play something good. Now, we're all a little tired, so...
Joe Perry:Wait a minute...
Neversoft Guy 1: What now, Mr.Perry?
Joe Perry:I need an audience. Some people to cheer me on.
Neversoft Guy 1:Like who?
Joe Perry:I don't know, anyone! I need an audience. I won't play without one.
Neversoft Guy 1:You.*Points at NSG4*Go find some people to be his crowd.
Joe Perry:I need a drink.
*46 minutes later*
Neversoft Guy 1:What took you so long?
Neversoft Guy 4:It's very hard to find people at 3 in the morning.
Neversoft Guy 1:Well, who have you got?
Neversoft Guy 4:Drunks, Bums and Prostitutes. Only people up at 3 AM.
Neversoft Guy 1:Oh, I suppose that's good enough. Come on, Joe has been drinking...
*In the Studio...*
Neversoft Guy 3:Okay Mr.Perry, we have your audience.
Joe Perry:Ahh...good. WHOA! Was... that a *hic* Elephant?!
Neversoft Guy 3:Uh...No.
Joe Perry:Okay, lets go! What do you want me to do? Zoooom!
Neversoft Guy 1:Oh, do whatever you want. I just wanna go to bed.
Joe Perry:Okay... Time to Rock!!!!
*Performs Guitar Battle. Falls over several times in the process*
Joe Perry:Finished! *Passes Out*
Neversoft Guy 3:That was...interesting...
Neversoft Guy 1:It was good enough! Let's go home, we'll put it on disc tomorrow.
And that kids, is the story of how the Joe Perry Guitar Battle was born. _________________

Hehe, that was funny.
That said, the song's not toooooo bad. The Wankery section's just a bit longer than I'd like. And I've just realised that it's nearly as long for the Slash one, and pretty similar as well. I could grow to love it. _________________

This song sounded kinda weird to me at first...but I guess after a while it came out alright...but towards the end it just kinda sounded a bit of a mess...
I couldn't make heads or tail on it..it's like, he thought 'K, time to do hammer ons...why not I alternate pick for just a bit..'
I guess I'm trying to say it just didn't sound that natural? and yeah somebody said this and yeah I agree, guess its a little bit too much of improvisation... (or something like that) |

I suppose I'm one of the few who actually think this sounds pretty good >__>
Though I do agree that it looks like complete shit when charted. Like the beginnings of all the ascending triplets being strums WTF? And all the goddamn random strums all over the place. But soundwise, though it may just be a shitload of random wankery, I actually think it sounds alright.
EDIT: Listening to it more and more times seems to have a reverse effect than normal. Upon second listen, it sounded like shit to me And I'm sorry, the ending is NOT epic enough for me. It just seems so out-of-nowhere. |

I watched the vid and is a pretty random song. I will tell you one thing, I dont remember any single part of it. Its just a mess. Looks rushed.
On a positive note: If we keep playing charts like this were gonna become masters of random strums. _________________

4 note chord is really easy your doing a GYB right before it so all you have to do it press down on your red so its not a huge deal , I actually laughed when I saw it, real cool song and not overcharted like I thought it would be some parts look tricky but it looks like its going to be real fun. I will say i like the RB chart for TKAR better _________________

I expect to see even more of those, and maybe some 5 note chords, in Guitar Hero: World Tour. |
I don't see how/why they would put 5-note cords in, seems like nonsense to me. |

Although the 4 noter appears to look ok to be. It sounds very "chunky", so to speak. _________________

Really, though; after becoming a community that has FC'd nearly every GH song ever, that's the only direction they can go to increase difficulty.
Seriously, they thought Through The Fire and Flames would be impossible, and yet iamchris4life FC'd it and we have several users with over 900k scores on it. As a community we have conclusively proved that they can throw any hammer-on at us and we will inevitably FC it. I suppose random strums are something we should get very, very used to. _________________

That's true, IF they want to cater to the elite. _________________
