Hey guys, NYCLAN is looking to crown a Guitar Hero II Champ.

Sunday, April 1
Registration begins at 12PM
1st Place: Guitar Hero II on XBOX 360 + Extra controller, 1 month free Standard Membership at NYCLAN
2nd Place: $50 gift certificate to Best Buy, 2 weeks free Standard Membership at NYCLAN
3rd Place: $20 gift certificate to Best Buy, 1 week free Standard Membership at NYCLAN

Entry Fee: $15; $5 off to all NYCLAN Members

NYCLAN: 226 West 4th St., BSMT

We're located at West 4th and 7th Ave, close to just about every train.

You can bring your own guitar controller if you want.

Rules
1. Double Elimination Bracket
2. Players play Pro Faceoff
3. Players choose 1 song and skill level each
4. If tied after two songs, the third song is randomly chosen by a NYCLAN Staff Member out of the bonus tracks. Skill level for the third song will be on expert.
5. Player with the higher total point score wins. If tied, then winner is determined by the greater number of consecutive notes hit during his/her longest streak.

Although our format is a little unorthodox, we're trying to encourage players of all skill levels to come and try it out. The good players will win, but the players learning how to play will feel like they have a chance.

For more information, please visit us at www.nyclan.net or email me at info@nyclan.net.

Sorry for the short notice, I just learned about this forum yesterday.

This tournament sounds very solid !!!

We heard a lot of great things about NYCLAN. We heard they have 17 CRTs, and is the largest gaming center in Manhattan!!! Wow, we are going to try to bring at least 4 of our friends with us !!

Thanks for the heads up !!!

Well, as you've noticed, this tournamnet is supposed to attract some casual players as well due to the format. As such, we're not going to allow hyperspeed at all.

By the way, what's the situation with spectators? Can they just come and watch, or would they have to pay as well?

Enter Orange Blue Orange Yellow Orange Blue Orange Yellow at the main screen and play a song. You'll see.

Anyway, I'm out of practice since I got God Hand, so I might not take first this time...I'm practicing now though!

Out of practice my *#&, Shift

Shift won, I took second. Since the bracket was set up randomly, I ended up losing to Shift in round 2 and having to fight back through about 7 losers' bracket rounds to make it back to the final...and lose to Shift again.

But it was a very well organized tournament, and I was quite happy with it.

I just found out that my Aunt and Uncle came by and picked it up for me. I'll pick it up from them. Thanks a million for holding it, I really appreciate it.
