pizza, you need to follow some paths as you're failing in scores quite bad even though you FC them as well.
Take a look at PathHero for the paths and use them, it will increase your chance of closing the gap to second place. Even if you don't FC the song, at least follow a path of some sort to get the best score you can. Certainly what I'd be doing so I wasn't coming last all the time, but I guess it depends on how much you care. _________________

It has paths on there to get the best scores? It was just an example, and seeing as you're currently playing World Tour, that's a good place to start. The other place to look would be rubydanger but I can't be bothered to get the link for that... it's on this site somewhere though. It's not going to help you FC stuff, but it'll help you get higher scores (no idea if you can squeeze or not).
I don't really know how you didn't understand why I suggested PathHero. _________________

I think you have to register for ruby dangers.
Try this thread instead. It's where I am getting my paths from. Just click on this link and then click on whatever song you are going for. All the paths on there are hard difficulty.

what's confusing about them? I will do my best to explain them
let's start with One Way or Another
http://pathhero.codemann8.com/view.php?path=1373
look in the upper right hand corner where it says "Path 3-2-2(+1)"
that means the first activation is made when you have three SP phrases. by looking at the chart on the above link, the first activation is on the first Red/Blue Chord right after the 3rd SP phrase is earned. You can tell that because the chord is highlighted in blue on the chart.
The second activation is when you have earned the next 2 SP phrases. you activate on the first of three Oranges after the second phrase is earned (highlighted in blue). the way I remember it is there are only two Red sustains after the second SP phrase. I tell myself that I need to activate on the first/next Orange note AFTER the second Red sustain. Hopefully that makes sense....
The third activation is the toughest one to remember (but really not too bad). After you earn the 2nd SP phrase, the activation is a pretty good ways after it. The way I remember it is this: I look for something that is relatively easy to remember. The clue for me to start paying attention when to activate is the first Blue/Orange chord after that second phrase. After that first Blue/Orange chord, I start counting the single blue notes. I count to eight, and then activate on the next chord (Blue/Orange) after the 8th SINGLE blue note. That's the easiest way for me to remember. Someone might have an easier way to remember, but this way works for me.
Now on this last activation, you do have to squeeze a tiny bit. Otherwise, you won't get the (+1) phrase because your SP will run out before you get that last SP phrase. On activations like this when I am having trouble getting the (+1) phrase before SP runs out, I might push back the first note of the activation just to give me a little bit or extra time to get the phrase. It might cost you some points, but it's better than having an unused SP phrase at the end of the song.
I just got a decent (not great though) score of 209,505 after only 2 full song runs of using a this path. My first few runs of songs in this rivalry, I don't even try to squeeze. I just focus on the path. If I can stand to play the song anymore, I will go back and try to actually squeeze, which I am not very good at in WT (I'm used to GH3 engine for squeezing).
Hopefully this all makes sense, and please feel free to ask more questions. I am not that good of a squeezer/pather, so if anyone else can chime in to help explain anything better, please do so!
Good luck! |
