I hadn't played GH in a week, maybe even two...and the first time I picked it back up, I immediately improved some of my four-star scores, and five-starred a song I never had before. (Higher Ground, expert)

So, if you're not making any progress on one particular song, play some others that are giving you problems...but if you're not making any progress anywhere, take a week off. It's inexplicable, but you'll thank me later. :-)

Yes, rest is good. I was playing usually late at night before I went to sleep, and I was failing miserably at all high score attempts.

This is absolutely true. My sister borrowed my playstation for about a month. When I finally got it back, I started playing the game again and I was beating all of my high scores without really trying. I cant explain it either.

I totally agree ! I didn't played for 2 weeks, and then, I got (in average) 25 000 more points for something like 10 songs in hard mode ! But It's kind of weird to tell someone : "I don't play Guitar Hero for weeks, so I'll get higher scores ...!"

it's like going cold turkey on anything, just finding something to do other than playing. For example, getting a girlfriend, and if you have a girlfriend, spending time with her and if she is really into guitar hero as well......then you, my friend are SOL.

Or finding the time to play if your fiancee is not too keen on your GH addiction
