This thread is a shamelessly stolen idea from the Rock Band side, but boss1592 and I decided that the GH side should have one too.

Basically, we'll have nominees for each category (all the ones we could think of) and you vote on them or nominate someone you think should be up here, but you NEED to explain why if you nominate them if it isn't obvious why.

Those are the ones I can think of, I don't really follow Drums or Vox much, as you might be able to tell.

Best Traditional Band I believe should go to The Offbeats, being the first GH band to ever complete an entire setlist. Quite a feat.

I think the best drum FC should go to Sulfurus' FC of Overkill, seeing as how the song was considered unFCable for over a year. Not even the original TtFaF took that long.

I think the best vocalist of the year has been dr00bles for his rape of everything vocals over the past year.

And I'll throw another vote at Ace for best overall guitar accomplishment for his multiple FGFCs.

As for the Overkill drum FC, I really don't think my name belongs there with Sulfurus. All I did was copy his method for hitting the broken note. He FC'ed it first AND came up with the method.

I'd like to nominate Sulfurus for best drummer. There are a ton of DLC X+ songs where he was the first (and only probably) to FC. And his setlist pedigree isn't too shabby either.

I'd like to nominate Arvain for best multi-instrumentalist. He has done a lot of good OMBFCs for GH5 and GHWT and he has some voxtar stuff as well.

As for my votes (I wasn't willing to vote for myself on anything):

Well all right, I guess if this stays unlocked I'll chime in.

Best guitarist: This one's a toughie between frank and Danny, but I'm going to have to go with oddballzfrank as the best guitarist this year, mostly because Danny hasn't really done anything on the Harmonix games. I find it strange that Marbler is nominated for top 3 this year, so I guess I'll nominate - ShonSuperStar (all GH3 DLC FC'd except Devil), Benzeeni (Satch Boogie FC, I'm the One -1), ggamerman (-1 Devil, lots of crazy GH3 FCs), and Fangz (GH80's FGFC, Satch FC) to be deserving of a spot on the list as well.

Best bassist: Well, it's hard to go with a best for bassist because there are a number of guitarists who could FC every song with time, so then it comes down to the most consistent, which you can't really see from looking at accomplishment threads/watching videos. Out of the two listed I'd have to go with Machchunk for sure though.

Best Drummer: GH5/GHWT FGFC takes it easily. Sorry >_> ccmoose Also I nominate Path102 for his 47/49 GHM FCs and BatH almost FC.

Best Vocalist: dr00bles sweeps this I say, both for quality (and amount) of FCs and also for best voice.

Best Multi-instrumentalist: I have absolutely no idea why JLC is on this list. Has he ever played GH vocals? Ever? >_> And don't you have like 3 vocals FCs >_> I nominate arvain (lots of OMB stuff) and UndeadFil13QC (not much OMB stuff, but quality when it is) to be on the list. And overall I vote arvain, not just for OMB stuff but also success at voxtar on the GH engine :o

Best Traditional Band: Probably the Shovelheads.

Best FC (guitar): Well, if GHM One is going to be on the list, why not Satch (Benzeeni, fangz, Danny) and GHSH TTFAF (Danny). In which case I would go with GHSH TTFAF.

Best FC (bass): Dyer's Eve obviously. Beats out Desimate I think. I would also like to point out that I FCd Dyers Eve bass this year >_>

Best FC (vocals): No idea, haven't played either of the non-queen songs, and have never played on a 360 so I won't vote.

Best FBFC: Laid to Rest for lack of a better choice.

Best OMB FC: Not really too sure. Whiplash (Undead), PWM (Undead), and PBFO (I don't remember) should probably be added to the list. I vote for Psychobilly Freakout.
