"The 12 Year Break is Over, School is Back in Session!"

Hell yeah!

Chris Cornell tweeted that right at midnight, which makes it the first entertainment news of 2010.

Both Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains released new albums this past year, and now Soundgarden is reuniting?

You know what this means: Nirvana reunion is inevitable.

With who? Zombie Kurt Cobain?

As neutral as I am towards the thought of a Nirvana reunion, it just isn't the same without Cobain.

Finally, Soundgarden YUS >:U

The days of grunge seem to be returning with 3 of the 4 powerhouse bands of the grunge era now back in full swing. I am excited

Pearl Jam has actually released an album pretty regularly.

1991
1992
1994
1996
1998
2000
2003
2006
2009

That's been their release schedule, and they've toured almost every year. They've never really taken a break lol.

But..nonetheless...I say Pearl Jam and Soundgarden tour next year.

AND...IMO...AIC just is not the same without Layne Staley. At all.

Now THAT is the way to start a new year. Hell yeahhhhhh.

...anything they record now needs to be better than the last two Audioslave albums and Cornell's solo stuff, otherwise every fan and reviewer in the world will tear their limbs off.

I feel like Scream has now been revealed as just one huge troll to pop music. I am very interested in a new Soundgarden album.

Cool, except Chris Cornell's voice kinda blows now in my opinion. I can't stand Audioslave and his solo stuff because of it.

In my opinion, I would not go as far as to say it blows. It just certainly is not NEARLY as good as it used to be.

I saw a video of him doing Jesus Christ Pose fairly recently, he sounded pretty solid, but when it got to the "PPPPPPPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR-AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" His voice gave out.

Still though, I love Soundgarden, and this is amazing news!

The fact that, after 10 days, this thread is still on page 1 is a travesty!

People, this is HUGE!!!

EDIT: Wait if Soundgarden is back together, then who is drumming for Pearl Jam?
