Riivolution and RiiGHOST plugin - Wii Disc Customs from SD

It's about time I mentioned this over here.

Riivolution is a homebrew program that runs on your Wii and patches game disc files on the fly from an SD/SDHC card or USB drive. Ever used Wiiscrubber to make a custom disc? It replaces that process, and uses the real disc in your Wii instead.

You can read the FAQ for more information; it can be used to replace files in any Wii game. This includes Rock Band disc customs, Guitar Hero 3 customs, and Guitar Hero World Tour customs (you can use RawkTour to replace disc songs rather than DLC).

To make things easier for GH3 customs, I've created a plugin for TheGHOST that will automatically put the required files on your SD/SDHC/USB device. This can be downloaded here, just place it directly in your TheGHOST tool folder and select the Riivolution plugin from the main screen in TheGHOST, as you select your ISO path.

(Note, if you want to use it for GHA, change the ID line in the riivolution/theghost.xml file it creates to say game="RGV" instead)

Sorry for the bump (although I get the feeling that isn't such a crime on this forum as it is on others), but I have to say, I'm really excited to see this topic. I've been using Riivolution for Mario Kart Wii custom tracks for a few months now, but never did it occur to me to use it for GH3 as well! I'm really excited to not have to burn new DVDs every time I want new customs. Good stuff!

Hey all

First of all, thank you for having created this tool, I think it's easier to use than RawkTour (I tried it, and when I want to play a custom, I don't have sound and the chart is the same as if I changed nothing, but nevermind)

I've got a problem using TheGHOST with your plugin : when I launch the tool, it asks me where my ISO file is, and when I click on "Next", I have to choose where my customs will be (on my SD card).

But next, I got this error box :

Here's a little (bad) tranduction of what is written in French : "The reference of object is not defined in an authority of an object" (thanks to google trad...)

Nevermind my problem, I finally managed to put some customs with Riivolution

I think the ISO I tried to use was corrupted, so I made another one with my retailed game, and then it worked !

im having this problem when, the customs are processing, it doesnt do anything.
all it says is "Applying Game Modifications..." and "Importing Notes PAKs..."
plz help

I HAVE IT WORKING

For some bizzare reason if you have changed
the track "Poison- Talk Dirty to Me" it wont work. There may be other tracks that don't work. I have only checked the first 15 in the setlist.
If you do come across one post it on here.

So here we go!!

WOW, thank you sir! That fixed the problem!

Only, I now have a new problem. I was finally able to add a few songs and play them with Riivolution, but none of them have any starpower! I checked TheGHOST and the starpower phrases DO appear in the chart viewer, but there is no starpower when I play the songs...why is this?
