Seriously, who didn't expect Frank West to get into this? It seems like they stuff him into everything they can at this point >_> |

Quote: | Streamlining inputs, however, may start heated discussions within the community. "We're also looking at the possibility for some moves to be one button." MvsC3 isn't the first time Capcom has attempted to lower the execution barrier for neophytes. The GameCube port of Capcom vs. SNK 2, a crossover fighter starring Capcom and SNK properties, implemented a similar one-button command for special moves (which was aimed at beginners). "It would be exactly like that [Capcom vs. SNK 2], but the trade-off is that you'll lose something else. You can have the simple one-button command, but we have to decide if that means the amount of damage done to the opponent would be less than damage done with a full command move." Would this mean a damage handicap for beginners who can't perform even a Hadoken? And why is there a trade-off when previous fighters didn't penalize players for using an easier input system? Perhaps the handicaps are exploitable. With easier inputs, deft players could string together combos impossible on normal execution. For instance, many combo videos made by the fighting community are performed with help of a programmable pad, which eliminates the physical barrier needed to execute commands. A single press of a button is much faster than inputting the command's motion. |
Is it MvC3 E.O. now? _________________

"NO! Don't implement a completely OPTIONAL mode that will help cater your game to a wider audience, possibly boosting sales and opening the door for even more high profile fighting games in the future! Please see sense, it's not like we can just turn it off and ignore it!"

I like the Idea for local play so me and my little brother can play and he can still enjoy it. But here where it scares me. ONLINE PLAY! I just hope for the love of god it is banned in online play. _________________

Well this went from an instant purchase to a rental for me.
I HATED the TvC controls. They said they're going to make it like MvC2, so maybe the air combos will go light attack light attack heavy attack heavy attack (or something like that). They are trying to do too much with 4 buttons. _________________

Even though no-FREAKING-body thought she wasn't going to be in, there was a screenshot of MvC3 in this month's Game Informer which showed pretty much Chun-Li's design briefly in the game, without confirming that she is a playable character in the game.

Yeah apparently Spiderman and Viewtiful Joe are giant balloons in that Times Square-like stage. _________________

That gameplay was awesome, super insanely fast-paced. I find it funny some people are complaining its too much like TvC, its a bit early too say that but as long as you're not entirely dependent on how much meter you have, it wont be like TvC. |
