Well, have any of you ever written any song parodies? And if yes, for which songs? I'm in the middle of writing one now, but I'll post it here when it's done.

I remember when I first discovered Weird Al I had to write song parodies...so back when I was in like 3rd grade, I wrote a parody of Eminem's "Cleaning out my Closet" and changed it to "Cleaning Out My Toilet." It was great at the time...but..now....well I dont know

what song are you parodying?

I wrote a Parody for "Ballroom Blitz" about a year ago called "Restaurant Mints". It was about a security guard who was addicted to restaurant mints and doesn't want anybody to take them, but there is a man who tries to steal them from him. It was actually decent. Too bad, I lost the lyrics.

I made a Parody of Prisoner Of Society called I am not dieting.

It was humourous when I was playing the song on vocals.

For school, I wrote:

"Hillary and Bill" to the tune of "The Farmer in the Dell"

I also did one about mowing the lawn to the tune of Sheryll Crow's "Strong Enough"

Whenever I hear "Jet Airliner" I sing "big old fat Matt Leinart" (even though he is not fat at all)

My bro and I like to replace nouns in song titles with "poop" (really mature, I know).

Our favorites so far:
Piece of Poo (Peace of Mind - Iron Maiden)
Cast Down the Poo (Cast Down the Heretic - Nile, my favorite)
Poopsicle (Bicycle - Queen... I want to lick my POOPSICLE, etc)
Go Forth and Poo (Go Forth and Die - Dethklok)

There's an endless list of songs that don't even need replacing. You just take the metaphor and change the meaning in your head to mean something about pooping.

ex. Mariah Carey - Shake it off
oh ho ho ho man, that's a good one.

(Spoliers and the parody itself are in white. Highlight them to see them.)

Okay, I just finished a Hell Bent for Leather parody. This is actually based on the Sesame Street parodies.

L is for Leather by Food and Yeast

Vocals: Rob Hatford
Guitars: Glenn Fingertip, K.K. Downstairs
Bass: Ian Mountain
Drums: Less Binks

Original Album: Alphabet Machine (1978)

*Rob rides onto the stage in a leather jacket on a motorbike*

Speak it here, speak it just everywhere
Letter L is so great to hear
It starts "late", second in "clover"
Also begins "lock" and "leer"

L! Starts the words "lentil" and "light"
But! That's not the best "L" word, all right!

L is, L is for leather!
L is, L is for leather!

Black as night, that's my leather jacket
Riding down on my motorbike
I don't care what other "L" words there are
Leather and choppers are outta sight

L! Starts the words "lentil" and "light"
But! That's not the best "L" word, all right!

L is, L is for leather!
L is, L is for leather!

There's many other words like "laser" and "lied"
But they didn't last and they failed as they tried

There's many other words like "laser" and "lied"
But they didn't last and they failed as they tried

[GUITAR SOLO]

L is, L is for leather!
L is, L is for leather!
L is, L is for leather!
L is, L is for leather!

So, what do you think?

Back in 8th grade, my friend wrote a parody of Fear of the Dark and called it Fear of the Fart :] The lyrics were quite amusing. Unfortunate that I can't remember any of it.

Ahh, song parodies. Good times. Back when iglooman1, I mean, the user who shall remain nameless was around, he started a thread about song parodies. It had several in it, and was quite good. I wrote one, but I don't remember it, and I was working on a parody of Godzilla by Blue Oyster Cult. It was going to be called Modzilla and it was going to be about the mods on here. But that got cut short. (I had better things to do.) Ahh, but it was going to be great.

Well, a while ago in my science class we had to choose a song and change the lyrics to correspond to what we were learning.

I did Row Your Boat (>__>), but I still got an A on it.

My friend and I are working on a parody of "Make it Rain" called "Make it Hail" which involves throwing quarters and other change instead of bills <_<

Epic win.

I love making up random shit when playing Institutionalized. Also, when I play Livin' On A Prayer in GHWT on Guitar, I sing about a man. "Johnny used to live in a shoe...he didn't like it much, but there was nothing he could do.....whoaoah" etc. It changes from there on every time I play.

I once parodied "By Demons Be Driven," and made a song about some guy who was particularly pissed off about how cold his feet were when he didn't wear socks. I can't remember the lyrics anymore, though, and I don't have 'em written down.

Also, I'm really liking NGJ's parody.
