olol its this guy again

After almost two months, it is finally time to kick this thing back into gear. Not much happend GH-wise, been busy with school and socialising (wut). Still, I got three new FCs on Van Halen, one of them being ranked pretty high on the FC breakdown:

FC #19: Space Truckin'
FC #20: So This Is Love?
FC #21: Feel Your Love Tonight

Also had a FC of White Wedding, but I forgot to write down a score lol

PLUSSSSSS, I got Aerosmith. Played through the Career, only got 2 SRFCs:

FC #1: No Surprize
FC #2: Dream On

@Jellu - Thanks! I really had this awkward thing that I could only hit the strumming the first run I did on that song. After, the FC was impossible.

@skinnywhitecomic - Thanks to you as well! To be honest, I really had to abuse the timing window a little bit just to hit the strumming. It was just a bit too fast for me to hit normally, so... I am glad the other parts of the song weren't as difficult. xD

@WhYYZ - You know that strumming is probably the only thing that I consider myself around the same skill level as you. And considering the rest of the song is pretty easy, it was just of playing it until I got the FC.

Oh, and just a small note, it's actually FC #20. Thought I FC'd Semi-Charmed Life, but I haven't put a score in, so I'm not counting it. I'll FC it when I feel like playing it (along with White Wedding) xD

Update 01/14/12

So, I was browsing through my setlist on GH: Van Halen, and I noticed that I hadn't played Bass on that game yet (save for a few songs that I find awesome). So, over the course of this month/year/decade, I'll be posting my sightreads of these songs on Youtube so you can see how much I fail.

I have played about 6 songs before I started this, so these don't count as SRs. However, I will still post them.

This will be started today or tomorrow. I've already recorded 6 songs, so I'll upload them slowly. ;)

Van Halen Bass has some considerably easy charts, I bet you'll get a bunch of SR FCs. Even if you don't get them on SR, I'd say all but maybe 7 are within your range.

Update 03/28/12

Well...

Like WhYYZ said, everything I post that is Van Halen attracts everyone from WMG and then go bat-shit crazy on it. So, my idea is now officially dead.

Now, to explain my real long absence from this thread (and maybe rhythm games in general), is the fact that I do not as much spare time as I used to have. Most of the time I do have, gets spent on different games or my social life (really).

Of course, I did play Guitar Hero in the meantime, but I decided to keep everything I've gotten at this point to myself and put it into one post. Most of my time has gone into Guitar Hero 5, because I am really trying to get those 70 FCs soon. It is just a matter of grinding it out a bit more.

Well, first of all, I got a pretty good FC on this game. It was the first run of that day, which makes it all that much more awesome. It's Runnin' Down A Dream, which has got to be one of my favorite songs on this game to play and listen. This is also the only one I have recorded. Click here for the video.

Next up was Superstition, which I find to be insanely fun. I was close to FCing it for some time already, but the

part screwed me over way more then it should have, especially the second blue. After I realised I could actually anchor the yellow note, everything fell into place.

And last, the overdue FC of Maiden, Mother & Crone. Something bothered me about this song all the time, so that's why it took so long to FC this song. That, and the fact that I don't like to play it.

So, this puts me at 65 FCs on Guitar Hero 5, pretty respectable number. Goal is to hit 70, which is definitely doable. I also had (another) -1 on Dancing With Myself, a -1 on Lust For Life, and I can FC everything consistently in Younk Funk, excluding the stupid chord hammer-on thing. My guess when it comes to FCing is this:

#66: Play That Funky Music
#67: Dancing With Myself
#68: Younk Funk
#69: Lust For Life
#70: We're An American Band

And, of course, my final FC ever will be Blue Orchid. Fuck this song. >_______________________>
