R...ro...rolling...pancakes?
Anyway, I have a policy of not eating things I can't pronounce, so I say pancakes. |

Wow, rolling your pancake... never even heard of that. Never had poffertjes before but they certainly look delicious. |

This. I've never heard of anyone... rolling pancakes. You don't just, you know, cut it up and eat it? |

If you roll it, you risk getting syrup all over your hands when you eat it. If you use a fork and knife, you can just dip your pieces in syrup and result with no sticky hands! _________________

@OP:
It's a common practice in the U.S. to eat pancakes like this or this, the latter of which has a small scoop of butter/margarine on top, cutting a small piece off with a knife and picking it up with a fork and eating said piece.
So, yeah, that would be the reason some of us are mystified as to why one would eat it otherwise. _________________

I don't know whether I'm more baffled by the fact that you... roll pancakes... or what rolling pancakes implies. Are you saying you eat pancakes one at a time?? That's just unheard of! There's an unspoken rule that you must eat pancakes at a sum of 2 or more at a time, stacked upon each other.
If you couldn't tell from the post, my pick is waffles. |

He's trying to have a legit conversation, and all we can talk about is how rolling pancakes is weird.

ok so if somebody says something about how they eat food differently in their culture that's unheard of in america we aren't allowed to ask about it? :/ it's not making fun of him, it's just curiosity
