basketball is almost as rigged as boxing. a lot of people on espn think that kevin durant is going to outperform lebron--lebron is definitely the superior player. he can guard anyone and there aren't many people who can guard him, if any. if he is put on durant, durant will not be scoring much.

I don't know what you're saying dude, LeBron may be a better athlete than Durant, but Durant is 10 times the basketball player LeBron is.

I'm honestly not sure if you're trolling or what. They're both very good basketball players. The two best in the world, it's pretty hard to argue otherwise. Neither of them is ten times as good, or even twice as good, as the other. I think Lebron is maybe 10% better than Durant, but I wouldn't say with complete certainly that bron is better, nor does it really matter. They're both great, and the game is played by one team against another, not one player against another.

Yeah really, Durant should have fouled out 5 minutes before that last play.

Durant wouldn't have even been in a position to foul out if not for some of the bullshit that was being called earlier in that game. Seriously are some people watching this through rose-colored glasses?

How do you get out of fouls in the NBA? Have a Heat jersey on.

With that said, the Thunder better fucking win.

go pacers

Steve Javie, former NBA referee, is now working for ESPN. He had a good segment last night where he noted that yes, Lebron did foul Durant, but the referee was positioned in such a way that Durant's body was screening him [the referee] from being able to see the contact.

Anyway, I liked Durant at the podium after the game. Asked about the play, he said "I missed the shot." Asked again if he thought he was fouled, he said "I missed the shot."

Don't think I've said anything in this thread yet, but since my team (Lakers) is out, I've been rooting for the Heat. So yeah, let's go Heat Close it off tonight!

my observations of the finals:

-basketball just isn't very good and has the worst refs
-thunder were too inexperienced but should be good for a while
-mike miller is the luckiest bastard ever
-james harden shit the bed this series
-lebron is the best player in the world

Awesome finals. LeBron played spectacular, Russel Westbrook did too! We should be seeing those 2 teams competing for a spot in the finals for a very long time. Congratulation Miami Heat and LeBron James !

Yeah yeah, Heat won.

On to more important things, the NBA Draft is happening in a week! The New Orleans Hornets have the top pick, and two in the top 10. Obviously, they need to go out and get a strong point guard to replace Chris Paul. But with numerous Kentucky forwards topping the board (like Anthony David), I wouldn't be surprised if they drafted him and waited on a guard to fall to 10.

Holy crap this can't be emphasized enough, he sucked SOOOO much in the finals it was ridiculous. Sure Westbrook and Durant hit a few lapses throughout the series, but Harden was nowhere, all he did was flop and chuck up airballs, it was pathetic.
