How has there not been a topic on this yet?
Beat Hazard is a music-based shooter. Think of it like Asteroids meets Audiosurf. You pick any song in your music library, and shoot enemy ships that appear. The frequency of ships (and strength of your laser-bullets) depends on the song you chose - softer songs are usually harder.
It's available for $5 on Amazon, $10 on Steam (:|), and 400MSP on Xbox. I picked it up in a Steam pack with 4 other music games for $5, so I got a good deal, but I'd recommend Amazon's digital download unless you really want the Steam cheevos. There's a free demo available for both systems.
And just because, here's TTFAF on the hardest difficulty.
Anyways, post fun songs to play, high scores, and whatnot.
I'm currently playing on Normal/Easy, but Battles - Atlas is a very fun song. Probably my favorite song to play in BH so far. High score on Normal is 482,912, try and beat me. It shouldn't be too hard. :P _________________

Does this game take up a lot of CPU? I've still got around 7 months until I get a real computer so I have to use my netbook. |

This game is amazing. Bought it last night from Amazon at the recommendation of Pie and I'm almost max rank. I'm still playing Normal, but I'll move up soon.
As for my Atlas score(s):
1,318,104 (Normal)
3,777,372 (Hardcore)
Someone try to out do that.

Awesome game, I got it on Steam a couple months ago but I hardly play it now. Might reinstall it and play some more today. _________________

Love the concept of the game, but unfortunately as a former epileptic I feel uneasy about playing the game any longer than 5-10 minutes at a time, even on low intensity. So many games have had seizure warnings, but I've never felt like I could potentially have a seizure playing the games until this one. _________________

Sorry to hear that. ._.
Yeah, the game's kind of intense. Forgot to mention that.
Anyways, I'm trying to move up to Hardcore. Failed Muse's Plug In Baby at 90% and failed Megadeth's Sudden Death at 25%. This is gonna take a while... _________________

Trust me, you will run it fine. I constantly get 8-10 FPS on WoW on the lowest settings with sound turned off, and I run beat hazard perfectly. |

There's Suicidal on PC?
I think I just may have to get this game and record a couple sessions in FRAPS.
Here's me playing it on the X360.

I'm getting better at Hardcore. :D
Trying to upload a run of Don't Stop Me Now or Atlas on Hardcore, but not only can I not pass either whilst recording, youtube keeps getting errors when I try uploading vids and it takes like an hour for me to do so, so..... yeah. :| _________________

No worries, got it on a holiday sale from Steam so I think I ended up only being out about two bucks or so, fine with me. _________________
