Great songs, am I right? Too hot to hoot.
I actually really like the long progressive songs around 8-10 minutes long. It's very reminiscent of listening to a symphony. There might be recurring themes, but for the most part, there aren't choruses, no solos, just a continually developing piece of music. I would imagine that they might not be that fun at concerts when you want to be caught in a mosh, but I really enjoy listening to recordings. |

I actually love The Fall of Troy. A Man A Plan A Canal Panama os one of my favorite songs from them. Most of their long songs are very good, especially Chapter V. _________________

When I saw this thread I was like there's no way that's racecar by Periphery. I love that song btw. Well, most of it. The guitar solos from it are really awesome, and the ambience. _________________

I just love to death the version of Macaulay Mcculkin off of the Ghostship EP.
Shame it turned out so subpar on Doppelganger >_> |

Stangely enough I never really listened to that song by The Fall of Troy even though I'm a big fan of them. Periphery however, I still constantly listen to Racecar. The drumming is just right, and his voice is amazing (yes I'm one of the few that likes Spencer). Not to mention the badass solo's and guest solo by Jeff Loomis. AMAZING _________________

Ah, yes, Jeff Loomis solo is freakin' amazing in racecar. The lead-in is done so well, and when he starts going off it's just the greatest thing ever. |
