This is the first I've heard about the lockout nearing its end. I need to read up on that now.
Also, put my favorite down as the Bears. Gotta go after them Packers this year and take their title! |

Excellent. Looks like we won't be deprived of any football after all. Now I can watch the Vikings back up their last place NFC North finish with another last place finish.
I'm definitely up for doing fantasy football again if there's enough interest. Maybe I can recapture my glory of two seasons ago when I steamrolled through everybody right up until a title game choke. I haven't prepared at all for fantasy up to this point, so I suppose I should start looking at that stuff a bit. _________________

Hmmm so being a hockey fan I generally have a 4 month lay off from sports till October and since I have a huge hatred for Baseball and espically basketball, I think i might actually pay attention to the NFL this season. Only thing is I have no idea who any team is and any player (save for half a dozen QB's). I used to be a Viings fan back when Crise Carter played for them a long time ago but screw that lets start anew.
So guys someone give me a team to cheer for, one that no one cheers for and I will pay attenion to them all season and maybe get into football. Doesnt have to be a top team or a shit team just one that nobody ever cheers for. I ask because really I know nobody so yeah I could pick one from a hat, might be funny
And I can try a fantasy football thing if you guys dont mind a noob joining in. _________________

The Bills. |
They were my first thought too, but they have a nice fanbase as well. Well, a dedicated one, at least. _________________

I started half-way paying attention last season (it's difficult here, they show one game a week and it's in the middle of the night, thanks time zones!) and went for the Cardinals 'cos my English football team is known as the Canaries and it seemed appropriate to go with the 'small beaked thing' trend.
I fully intend to pay more attention this time around, particularly if I find myself able to afford subscription to the sports channels so that I can see more than one game a week. _________________

Alright, everybody should be up to date now.
I can't wait for next week. Deal gets ratified at the owner's meeting on the 21st, Free Agency starts on the 22nd, then we have a week of 32 teams scrambling to not only sign free agents but get to the new cap minimum. It's going to feel like we're opening presents every single day. _________________
