So there's going to be a new Amnesia game. Not going to be a direct sequel, but still going to be in the same universe. I'm expecting this game to be just as scary as the first, if not even more so

If this is actually true, I will jump with glee. Amnesia: The Dark Descent is easily the scariest game I have ever played, and I'm glad to see they're making another. While it won't be a sequel per se, it kind of makes sense because you couldn't really continue on from the first one.

As a survival horror genre nut, it pains me to see people calling Amnesia the scariest game they've ever played

Try out some Silent Hill 2 or Fatal Frame 1-2! Amnesia doesn't have shit on either of those. (although Amnesia still has one of the best atmospheres in a video game)

I'm not really into the horror survival games, but I tried playing Fatal Frame 1 once (and followed the advice to play it at night with the lights off...) and I couldn't get past the second stage, I was so damn scared
