Went out to my spot right at sundown. Caught 4 dinky channel cats in about 45 mins. It was fun because the second I threw my line in they were attacking it before it even hit the bottom. The croaking sound they make is weird.

Friday night I caught a blackfish and a little gar. It was maybe a foot long. Yesterday afternoon we went out to some pond we had heard about, the 3 of us caught 3 bass in a 15 minute period. Then we went out to the river for some more catfishing, and I caught a rockfish right in the keeper range of 18-26 inches, so my buddy took him home to clean and I think we're gonna make a stew outta him. Still have yet to hook a cat on my pole, but I am slowly working through every other species that resides in our neuse river.

Caught this 19.5 inch walleye the other day. Made my first attempt at filleting, what a massacre lol. Well he still tasted pretty good

catfish!

big ass sheephead(freshwater drum) I caught. people hate them. They rip the gills out and throw them to the seagulls!

Caught a fucking carp this morning. 36 inches he had to be atleast 40lbs it seemed. What a fight, I am shocked it didn't snap my line let alone my pole in half. It took my 25 minutes to land him. It was fun but I wouldn't mind if I never hooked a carp again.
