Xbox 360 wireless receiver for pc problem I really need some help here

So, today I got guitar hero 3 for the pc and it works great. I also got a xbox 360 wireless receiver for pc which, when plugged in, didn't connect my LP. After some online research, I found that its a knock off version made in china. Mine says X360 on the top and the real one says Microsoft. I followed some online instructions to no avail. One of the solutions to this is to select the Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows Version: 2.1.0.1349 driver in the Microsoft Common Controller for Windows Class option but, whenever I to go that option, the wireless receiver for windows option doesn't exist.

The receiver I bought came with a small disk that is supposed to install the driver for me, but I have windows 7 and I'm not willing to downgrade to windows xp. Some help would be really nice, like a link to the official Microsoft receiver, or an alternate solution to the driver. I really want to play but this is starting to frustrate me :x

I have this same exact receiver. It doesn't work. I tried EVERYTHING. It's garbage. I ended up just buying an xplorer and plugging it straight into my PC where it recognized it immediately. Sorry dude
