Breaking Bad- Midseason Finale Tonight!

I think she's going to kill herself, and I think it's going to happen before this season is over. She's been all but catatonic since Walt "won," and the implication that she stays in her bedroom all day purely out of fear is just icing on the cake.

So, speaking of Hazard Pay, wow. It wasn't the absolute greatest BB episode, but I think that it might've been the most efficient. Every word, every beat, every cadence had a purpose, and the 45-odd minutes felt like they were over in ten. Walt's manipulation is getting scarier and scarier, from slyly suggesting (and succeeding) that Jesse break up with Andrea/Brock to the warning at the tail end of the episode for Jesse and Mike to know their place. It might've been the first time that I actively recognized him as the villain for an entire episode- every single thing he did undermined somebody else's endeavor, although I did laugh at "(Threatening people) is what Mike does. He probably threatened someone at breakfast this morning." It's borderline criminal (ha!) that this half of season five is almost halfway over already.

I think Skyler finally did to Marie what we all wish we could do. That was awesome, plain and simple XD

But yeah, great season so far, it's really interesting to see where they will go from here. I do think Walt's greed will get the best of him, somehow. I kept expecting them to forget one small detail that would undo them, but it seemed like their first cook went great. Definitely excited for the rest of the season, but it does suck that it's only half a season this year

The last half-hour of Sunday's episode may have been some of the most uncomfortable scenes put to screen. "I thought you were the danger" "I don't know, ok?" "What then, hmm? What's your plan?"

Seemed appropriate..

Well I've watched the last 4 seasons (and got into the 5th) in ~a week and a half. I loved it more than the first few seasons of Weeds (before it became just a massive trainwreck).

I miss seeing Jesse dress like a wigger and saying YO and BITCH all the time. But it shows how's he's matured over time ever since SPOILER

I avoided this thread until I caught up, because I knew it was going to have spoilers going on even though the title doesn't even say it. A lot of people do tend to skip the OP of threads for some reason though.

What an ending to Dead Freight. That's all I gotta say. The whole episode was like an action movie and then that ending out of nowhere. Da fuck man. XD
