I got amazing ticks on Unsung couldnt hit UB squeeze again. My I Love rock and roll score is really good. Cheat on Church no FC so thats horrible. And Fat Lip fuck that song holding ticks in that song is fucking stupid almost worst in the game besides Higher Ground and Story of my Love. |
The hardest part of Fat Lip is not dropping ticks in the beginning IMO... :P
I'm at the point where I'm ready for next week. Hopefully it's a little less squeeze-heavy, but I'm not getting my hopes up..

Kev also on I love Rock and Roll you are right about getting +4 over Upperbound which is x73. x29 is probably optimal on the 4th activation, no way getting x33 is possible..even x29 is a massive stretch.
Also where did you come up with the fact that 400 is possible? I'm assuming you meant the 3rd activation but keep in mind that that is UB whammy getting 400 more on that activation isn't even close to being possible. :/

You are correct, I did mean the 3rd activation.
I've realized that Upper Bound isn't always 100% correct and you are the #1 example that it's not. BUT, I'll agree that it's not possible because you think so and because your opinion on squeezing = l33t.
I just feel like I've been kinda close before and that I'd leave it at MAYBE being possible. I wish I had video to back me up, but I don't... Also, pope watched me get "close" a few times and he says that it's not possible. I guess I say that it might be possible so that someone like you could try to prove me right

If it was possible it would be listed as being hit in UB 100/100 path. The only example of a squeeze not being shown in the 100/100 path is Crossroads getting an extra 200, first activation which ive gotten before, however that path had an error as that squeeze is shown being hit in the Medium path.
There is no reason to go for it if it's not shown on the UB path to begin with. Also in all my runs that I attempted to get that score I was at least a good half beat from getting it which on camera is 6 frames not even close..

Kev that squeeze is only possible because it doesn't involve any early whammy to it. It's like a double and its only possible because the note before the back end is a sustain. Like its the same way with Monkey Wrench 1st activation where you activate on the first sustain which makes doubles possible.
UB whammy activations are perfect, one will never be able to get full whammy however one can squeeze better than UB. An example is Unsung the whammy doesn't need to be perfect but the squeezes both front end and back end need to be very good. That squeeze though in I Love Rock and Roll isn't possible because it doesn't show it being hit on either difficulties. I'll show it on video with slow-motion to see how it's not even remotely possible.

So this isn't related to the league at all but I figured I would get an answer if I asked here...
I was playing through a few GH1 songs, and I was just wondering what is up with the high scores on More Than a Feeling being 306K while the Slowhero path only gets 303K? I hear some talk of a DS glitch? What's up with that? And are there other songs applicable to this?

Basically if you pause, it deletes the delay on activating star power immediately, and if you hit a note with a controller, it doesn't drop the hold when you pause. Use the path on pathhero for more than a feeling

Ah, I wish I had more time this week, BatM has gone so damn well in the 30 mins that I played it that I wish I could grind for something really awesome, like an FC, dare I say it. I'm really consistent with everything outside the trips, and I've got 700+ note streak twice now. Hopefully I'll still have that consistency after Christmas...
