...Impressive. I only really squeezed the first note of each sustain, so that's where those points were. I think I can definitely get more, so I'll try again when I can, I have no time tomorrow, but the weekend should be alright. I had a go at Aggro and Monsoon tonight as well, but had no luck with Monsoon and Aggro is my least favourite song to squeeze in the entire game, so...

On an overall note, I'm now near as dammit to 30.35 million overall, so I'm only 55k away! I think overtaking Fug is very doable, but will be tough, I have a slight buffer on Satch but will need to keep getting new 1sts to stand a chance, seeing as he won't try to take them back immediately at least :P I think that's 4 now? HFT, SAF, Float on, OAS... I'll have to take at least one back at some point :P

i might get in some more tomorrow, but otherwise probably won't play again until monday or tuesday. at least you have plenty of options for songs to take 1sts on, i'm really not looking forward to grinding for 8 points on About a Girl and Nuvole

How do you guys whammy? I'm finding the second act of Float on to be literally impossible to execute and I know I must be losing tons of whammy somehow. I think it might even affect my failure to get Lazy Eye thus far, who knows. Any tips? Or for that particular activation at least?

I'm not sure really, I generally go for late whammy, but I try to get it as on the note as possible, but my whammy ain't perfect, so I'd defer to Scarecrow on this occasion

Hold the whammy bar in between your middle and ring fingers and vibrate it. Also be sure to have the whammy bar moving when you hit a note- pretty much opposite of GH1/2

It takes some getting used to. Also for slower songs I haven't really noticed a difference between that and regular whammying.

Freaking finally. I hit the first squeeze four times in a row before getting this. I'm not sure what it was, but I was having a lot of trouble with both of the tough squeezes. Luckily I managed to get optimal on the first run past the third squeeze.

On the other songs you guys have been playing, I'm not quite as lucky. I can't seem to glitch those sustains properly in OAS so I missed a good 1.2k somehow, and Float On has that stupid whammy...

Nice one I had a little go today, but wasn't hitting anything, so stopped pretty quick... Had a go at Wind Cries Mary, but those glitches are really really tough, I think I need to decide which are actually worth it. To get a good run on OAS you need to hit the note after each sustain really late to make sure of the glitch, and Float On, where are you activating for the 2nd act? You have to squeeze the note after the 4th BO sustain, and you do have to hit the last 3 notes in the act early to get it.

Also, any thoughts on next week's song? We seem to be getting through them pretty quick, we choose one each for 3, or do you think that will be too many?

well we realistically did 3 songs this week, so that seems reasonable to me.

I'm gonna pick Never Too Late

Well I got my song pick out of the way. Definitely happy to knock this out, took a while though. No single squeeze is too hard but they're all somewhat difficult. I kept getting x66 too, that was a pain. Guess I'll start on Soul Doubt or something now :p

EDIT: Good choice on Soul Doubt Jleggy, it's fun so far. First squeeze is trivial, but the second one is pretty tough. Hardest part about the third is the front end, squeezing that without missing in the middle of that randomness is killing me.

Heck, I'm joining too. Can't miss out on a good squeezevalry! I did Lazy Eye and depending on time zones, I did it on time.

Optimal (597406). I had to switch guitars in order to hit the 3rd activation. But after the switch to the WoRtar (squeaky strum bar and select button and flimsy whammy bar, but my only guitar that needs no rubber bands) I hit the 3rd act. on the first try, after having done a stupid purple note miss. I got it two runs after that, but my camera's battery ran out right before the last activation :P. I'll upload it anyway, because all the good stuff still got in.

EDIT: oh, and don't worry about having me pick a song. 3 is plenty enough. I also think that having 4 songs in subsequent weeks is a bit steep for me. Maybe even 3, but I'll see how next week goes. I feel like 1 or 2 songs might be better for me. Anyway, this will be fun!

Ok scarecrow, for Never Too Late, I followed undead's path and only moved the second act up one note. I was about 550 away from your score, I can only assume I missed the back end on the second act and the rest is ticks? If so this is gonna be a lot of squeezing for ticks...

Oh and I'm not sure I can get optimal on Soul Doubt. My current high is missing the second squeeze, and I don't know if I can ever hit that. I was lucky enough to get the last squeeze on an FC run :p

Also welcome Bjorn, this is lookin to be some tough squeezing competition in here...

One down. Video coming on Tuesday, gonna be staying at a friend's for the next couple of days. I've got an hour to go for Soul Doubt though :)

And Bjorn, awesome to have you here, I can't wait to see 4-way optimals on most of the game :D

EDIT: And Alex, it's strange that you're having trouble with the 2nd act, that's a free one for me, I hit it every run The 1st act is hard to get the ticks on, and I've yet to hit the last act. Strange...

EDIT AGAIN: And having just typed that, I get a -400 score missing the 2nd act. Jeez... Oh well, it's definitely on the cards, I'll get it later in the week
