cheating to use a glove?

So about to years ago my hands were cold, making it hard to play. So I got a winter mitten from my mom and note I could do descending notes better. I quit using this because I thought it was cheating. Is it really though?

I don't really see why it would be cheating. Honestly, if you can play with a glove on, I'd say you're a lot better at it than most people due to decreased sensitivity and all.

It's not causing a difference between input and output (pressing green will still light up the green fret, and so on), nor is it majorly changing the dynamics of the game (fret limits, strum limits, whether or not you can ghost ascends for HMX-era games, etc.), so it's not cheating.

Is it safe to assume that the reason the descending scales are easier is because the glove provides less friction than using no glove?

Either way, as long as you're not like tying the glove around the guitar to hold the green button down or something asinine like that, then no it's not cheating. Unless you feel like the previous paragraph is true and it makes you personally feel like you are taking an unfair advantage. But I would be extremely surprised if anyone here saw issue with it.
