I tilt on all songs except for activating SP in the middle of a long note like the yellow note on Texas Flood.

i use both... but i only use the button if i need precision... and i know exactly where those spots are... so i slightly shift my hand at a section that is a little bit easier before it... so i can snag the button with my pinky when the time comes. I like using the tilt, and i guess i lucked out with a guitar that has never NOT worked when i wanted it to.

I'm about half and half. I used to never use the button, but now I prefer it. You can squeeze notes with using the button (I guess you can with tilting but it's much much harder and has a lot of luck in it). The only time I don't use the button is if there are a lot of notes right when I activate it. I have a tendency to miss fast notes after an activation if I use the button

I tilt most of the time. Occasionly it won't activate, and then I use the button until I can trust it again..

Can reach the button but it doesn't make me feel like a rock star. . .

. . not that tilting does either but eh, it's a start.

I'm a tilter...I like how it looks (I'm actually better at playing when I get the guitar vertical. Go figure) and I just can't get to the select button comfortably. The only time that I ever regret this is for squeezes, which I have trouble pulling off as it is. Not a biggie, though. It rarely doesn't go off, and I think that's usually because I try to activate a bit early.

i always use tilt as it makes me feel more like a rock star than pushing a button to make a crowd go wild

I tilt mainly because I play by using my fingernail as a pseudo pick, and it's pretty #$%^ difficult to hit the select button playing like I do...

Occasionally I use the button for songs where the SP path requires pinpoint accuracy (Caveman Rejoice springs to mind), but to do that, I need to switch from playing with my index finger to playing with my thumb, which is not a comfortable transition for me...
