im currently ranked 356th (my first time posting scores, many of the eariler songs will be updated in the coming weeks)... but my question is this: how do we know that these scores are real ... while posting my scores, i noticed that i could have posted a totally fake score and boosted my rank no problem... what goes on to stop these FAKE GUITAR ZEROS? |

That's why there's the option for posting pictures and videos. While not a total failsafe, if someone puts in that they scored 3000000000 on CFH on expert hitting 100% of the notes, we'll know it's BS.
If you'll notice, most of the top scores have at least pictures for all of their scores. |

Most of the phots are too high of a quality to be photoshopped, but not so clean that they look like they were made totally in photoshop. It's kind of hard to fake a picture with a digital camera for a television playing a videogame.
I suppose, though, if you're going to play the doubting Thomas role, you've just gotta have a little trust, man. These guys have studied long and hard eheheheheheh....long....hard.... to figure out how to maximize star power, and they've worked on their technique more than I can even imagine. If you really don't believe they can do it, l2p, or wait for an online GH where leaderboards are all streamlined.
These folks are the real deal, son. |

Seen Krimsun's Cowboys From Hell video? If he can do that then why would he fake the rest? |

...Not really...
But wait! This is turning into a topic hijack! I'll put an end to this.
[back on topic] There's no real way to tell for sure if the score you're putting in is real without photographic or video proof. We kinda go by the honor system around here if your score is around 10th place or lower. Any higher than that and it may be a good idea to get proof of your scores, just to be safe. 1st place photographic proof is almost required now though. _________________

Of the #1 rankings in each song there is one that has no proof, it's I Love Rock N Roll on Easy. Perhaps before a score can qualify for top ten it should require photo or video proof? I know some people use scorehero as a competition and others just as a personal tracking device. Me for instance, I will never hit top ten so I don't worry about photos but people in the top ten should require it I would think. |

I personally am not lying about my scores. My only goal is to beat own personal high scores, not other peoples high scores. |

I'd say that is what most people are doing, which leads to beating other peoples scores |
