just watch the video and see wat the guy is doing...
1. dont just strum down, strum up and down as well
2. learn hammer on's and pull off's
3. i recommend using the buttom of ur palm/hand to hit the star power but if u have small hands...raise ur guitar...
4. dont make the guitar notes with ur voice
basically do the opposite of wat this guys does... enjoy

I have to give it to him though...he is an amazing down strummer, and sadly his first solo sounded better than mine, but I still have him on the rest of the song, and it wasn't much better...of course my score is more than 3 times his. |

73677....
i'll be honest... i didn't know you could score that low and still finish the song.... at least he impressed me there....
and wow... he can sure down strum... i downstrum a lot... like... i downstrum the main riff... but once it gets into the continuous sixteenth notes... i switch to alternating up and down.... and did he hit a single one of the long notes coming out of the GGYGGGBGGGYGGGRGG or whatever that one is... cause i think he missed that long note every time... and each time screamed a rather loud profanity... pretty funny.
props to him for finishing it though haha... better than most people on here.... |

No one noticed he was whammying every hold note?
That alone made me rofl. His hands must be ******* tired.
Edit: But like others, I give him props for finishing it. I can't even beat that song with alternate strumming. The timing of the main riff kills me. _________________

I actually do better downstrumming the whole song than alt strumming it. Then again that explains why I'm only getting 95k of a score.. but then again, I have a long way to go to get better at that song, or any of the songs on that set. I am learning to alt strum better though, so those scores might increase. I know my TBW scores are getting better thanks to alt strum... now my only problem with alt strumming is that I have this tendency to ALWAYS end pressing down, effictively killing any kind of multiplier I might have had, as it always ends up being a miss.

I down strum all the time and can strum faster than that but I keep losing on the last solo, so I guess sadly he has me beat. |

Actually when I play, I look stone still, though when there's a rest in the music, I pace around a lot, or when it's some silly part, like Godzilla's bass strums. I don't look at the screen, just pace back and forth, and ponder how I'm going to hit the next few notes. |

I actually downstrum EVERYTHING. I am totally against alternate strumming. It's just too much of a pain to me. As for Bark at the Moon, my best is 221,000; so downstrumming definitely does not hurt you on it. Oh and I also whammy every hold too...... |

I whammy long holds to the beat of the drums or the melody. =) I also whammy almost every hold as long as they aren't really short holds. It makes me feel like a rockstar badass. Which I'm far from.
Edit: Ok watched the video. A few things:
A) He looks constipated.
B) He needs to lose weight. This was an insensitive statement by me, perhaps, but come on people. If you need to lose weight, do it.
C) He misspelled his FIRST NAME in the "tags" section. "Jsaon!"
D) Sorry for undermining the simultaneous horridness and comedic value of this video in my original post.
E) "YEAH BITCH" I passed the first solo! _________________

I wanted to make fun of the goofy expressions he gets on his face while he's playing but then I was like... "Oh yea.. um.. i do that too". LOL.
But then again I'm not videoing myself and putting it on youtube ;) |
