Gah shit. I really I think I should be placed in AAA-2, but oh well, I suppose stiffer competition will help me improve. |

Big surprise for me. I didn't think I would have a chance if I ended up in one of the AAA groups and ended week 1 in 3rd in AAA-2. I'm very happy with that, but I expect to go down to the middle/bottom by the end of the 6 weeks, lol. |

What the hell am I doing at the top of AAA-2 when my CoY score was like... 45th... _________________

Damn, I was convinced that I had first on Crazy on You. I want to see what the strategy was that beat my 100% with a 97%. Crappy scores on Parasite and Trogdor are a little disappointing, but 2nd overall is good enough for me to live with it. |

Looks like I did okay, except for Thunderhorse. Hate that damn song. Considering I didn't expect to be in the same time zone as AAA, I'll take what I can get :) _________________

KM. I think you do. I flagged that #1 score as suspect and let barfo know I have a PM out to him to...I want him to post his path/strategy (or picture proof) before I let that go. I am not convinced that score is possible with only a 97% _________________

I am very happy that I am in AAA-2. I thought I'd make AA, so I'm definitely excited to be in AAA. As far my as scores go, I'm content with all of them, especially Thunderhorse. 3rd place, not bad. _________________

Anyone else notice that Kov took 1st in the league this week only submitting scores for three songs? THAT scares me.

I want to see your strategy too, I would've been 3rd for that twist if that 1st place score is indeed bunk. _________________

Crazy on You 3/12 SP Strategy
A little hard to see, but the red lines are extra strums, green is collected SP phrases, and blue is activated SP. All SPs are to be whammied if possible.
Written Version:
Phrase 1: Extra strum after the first note.
Phrase 2: Whammy the Y hold, then extra strum after the O.
Phrase 3: Play as normal.
Phrase 4: Extra strum somewhere in that mess (don't know how I hit them all and extra strummed it).
Phrase 5: Whammy the Y hold, then extra strum after the O.
Phrase 6: Extra strum before the RO hold.
Phrase 7: Play as normal.
*Activation 1: Activate at Measure 89.
Phrase 8: SP overlap, play as normal.
Phrase 9: Play as normal.
Phrase 10: Whammy the Y hold, then extra strum after the O.
Phrase 11: Whammy the Y hold, then extra strum after the B.
Phrase 12: Extra strum after the first note.
*Activation 2: Activate at Measure 144 Beat 3.

Agh, sorry sorry sorry! I DID NOT get 100% on Trogdor, that was a slip-up by me. I checked my sentbox and I did actually list 100% for Trogdor, when I actually got 97%. It's just one of those things where like, on a song like Trogdor I don't think about the percentage because it's not that important, so I take the 100% part for granted the same as I would on a song like Parasite where I never -don't- FC the song.
Yeah, seriously, if I had really gotten 100% on Trogdor? Yeah, I would've been bragging about it before the results were out, screw the non-disclosure rule. But hell no, I can barely 5* Misirlou as it is.
Anyway, COY SP path was to whammy/break the first five SP phrases, hit and whammy the next two, overlap the next, whammy/break the next three, then get and whammy the last one. I don't think it was perfect but it was solid... I can't get a perfect score on Crazy On You though, those minisolos with the chords at the end always destroy me (and that's where I used SP both times too, so it kind of sucked).
Thunderhorse, I really DID get 100% on that, sigh. Two extra strums though. At least I hit the solos and used SP perfectly, so my score wasn't terrible. I just wish I hadn't made an extra strum right before the easy HOPO part, THAT was stupid. The other extra strum was in the fast picking section that I was just happy I got the SP phrase in. _________________

I drew a picture of my CoY path.
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Zhylliolom/coy312.jpg
It shrunk there, but the lines are bold enough to see.
Green - Get entire phrase
Red - Overstrum here or miss next note if overstrumming is too hard for you (missing makes it easier to get all the whammying in measures 38 and 103)
Yellow - Whammy here but don't get the whole phrase, overstrum/miss at the nearest red line
Blue - SP Activation
The activation lengths are approximate. I activated at the same places Krimsun did, measure 89 and beat 3 of measure 144. I believe I get 2.75 more beats of whammying than Krim does before the first activation. For the second activation I think I pull off maybe a half beat more of whammying. Maybe I should try making SP paths more often. |
