I don't practise, I rock out like the pro I am.

And I bet the smell of this particular BS carries all the way to the next galaxy... At least.

I don't really practice technique anymore, it's just practicing songs that I suck at. Certain passages allow for more HO/PO's than others (Farewell Myth allows them, Cochise sucks asshole), and a lot of it is just timing.

I finally figured out the timing on No One Knows and CFH yesterday. My scores don't reflect that quite yet but the only way I'm going to get better is to just play through those songs a disgusting number of times.

Something I would like to be able to "generally" practice though is endurance. I can't net myself a decent score on the Ramones song because my arm gets tired because I HAVE to downstrum the whole thing. Inevitably I end up missing notes when i really never should.

I, too, do the "practice at a higher level, then bump it down for 'real' gameplay" thing. Seems to work for both Normal/Hard and Hard/Expert, really. Drop it back down and everything's a little bit slower and less hectic than you just experienced, and I usually fare a lot better then.

I play all the level 6 songs with 2 fingers to get my fingers all stretched out. Then I rock out.

Practicing occurs when I don`t curse and restart a song when I miss a note in the first 30 seconds

I like to warm up with a song that requires strum stamina, like I Wanna Be Sedated, Unsung, or the opening of Take Me Out.
