Try a little more then skimming...

For before GHex (GH-Utils)

An alternate way (ARK Expander)

In the works (Guitar Wizard)

yeah. What aaronr said. However, I checked gh-utils for s***s and grins a while back. The link was broken (at least for me). If you can manage to get gh-utils, I've heard it isn't user-friendly. Riz said that the topic was dead, though.

ARK expander is good, but is your basic bread-and-butter program. You can replace mid files, with alternate sizes, as well, VGS' (by making them with dho's utils), and dtb files. Don't expect any promises from that program, though, because Malictus is working on Guitar Wizard now.

As for Guitar Wizard, its under heavy wraps, and I've been one of the people selected to beta-test the program. That's all I can say.

An answer to the obvious question someone will probably ask... the ETA for completion of Guitar Wizard is sometime around the first of August.
