Double strum, and more than likely you are strumming too fast. Slow it down and keep a constant strum thru those parts |

Any fingering tips for the last one? The end of the solo?
I seem to be going Pinky-Orange Ring-Blue Index-Red Middle-Yellow then I slide my index finger on the red and green.
Like 4-O 3-B 1-R 2-Y 1-R 1-G... it isn't working but I don't know anything else to try other than using my middle finger for the first red note and ring for the yellow middle for the second red and index for the green. meh? _________________

I downstrum the scales and get them 95% of the time. The solo effs with me, I've only gotten it once downstrumming. And I can't seem to find the right strum rhythm double strumming it. Break them up into groups of 3 notes and you should be ok once you figure out the rhythm.
Edit: That's the same fingering I do. It seems like it should work. I just need more practice. If only there was a practice mode in GH1... _________________

Are they 12th notes at the end of the solo... I don't even know if 12th notes exist but that's what it looks like when I count how many notes there are per measure at the end... AH! _________________

For the last part of the solo, seperate the notes into groups of 3, and finger it (lol) 431 321 431 321 etc.
works for me |

I can't remember offhand, but I'm pretty sure they're just triplet 8th notes. (Which would make sense if there are 12 notes in the measure) |

Yeah, they are triplet 8th notes. This will make it easier for me knowing that.

I think the picture is amazing. I used to hit those runs until I changed how I fretted. I used to hit them about 80% of the time, and now I hit them MAYBE 25% of the time. _________________

0-info: Chuckled my arse off at the third "smiley."
But yeah, the first 2 parts are quite easy to finger - I never get them, though, since I think I strum too much... Always a "blink" before the last G, I probably hit R accidentally before switching. >_> |

Yup, everyone is right...the part at the end is 8th note triplets. And for that first scale part you have circled (hilarious faces by the way), I personally would upstrum the first G note. the G note is a pickup to the next measure, so the R note starts a new measure (on the downbeat). starting from R, group the notes into eighth note triplets (into threes). So you have:
RYB OBY G (on the downbeat again)
This is the fingering I use starting from the G pickup note: 1 123 432 1
Make sure you don't strum too fast. Hopefully this helps! _________________

After reading through this board a bit, I've realized I have a very simplistic technique. I downstrum that whole part as I would any normal scale and I just... hit it. The only parts I have trouble with are those eight triplets at the end. Eventually I'll think of some technique for it, but for now I'm doing just fine. The reason some think it's strange is that I never 2x strum... ever. The only songs in which I doublestrum are all parts of the breaking wheel except those which are 3g, 3o, 1y, 1r, 1b which I downstrum. The only things I ever 2x strum in this game are: that fast orange section of HFoB, Those awful sounding fast chords in Cochise, the quick notes in the refrain of BatM, Most of The Breaking Wheel, the very fast red and yellow notes in the Decontrol Solo, the incredibly fast chords at the end of Fly On The Wall. |
