Get a Jewlers screwriver, or some small screwdriver, and start rippin' those suckers out, put them in a ziplock baggy, and then after all of them are out, the Buttons/Whammy Bar/Start Select/ Strum bar are pretty straight forward, just put them aside somewhere

if you had stickers, get some goo be gone, after that use some alchohol wipes (I have heard) Then if you are doing a basic 2 color scheme

Get the Foreground color in Kyrlon fusion, Paint the entire thing with your foreground color (the one with the design on it),

I'd wait a hour or two

then Get normal krylon paint for the color of your background, and use painters tape to tape off your design (which will be the color of your Foreground)

Then whip that out and spray it down again, wait 20-30 minutes, then rip out your painters tape, then just wait for maybe another hour

Then spray it down with Clearcoat (If you want, It will make it glossy IIRC)

Hope I helped and I hope I didnt miss a step.

Nope, you didn't

I used automotive paint for my guitar because I wanted the metal flake blue, and when I did the ps2 I used krylon fusion all the way, and both came out great. Goo Gone is an amazing product

If you want to do like what I did with the guitar hero thing, but say something else, take a piece of paper, print out the image to size that you like, and cut out the insides of the picture. If there's holes in it (like in my guitar hero logo), then print out two, one cut out the outline, then the other, cut out the holes.

From there, the sky's the limit. Use your imagination to the fullest

Thanks,

But yeah, There really is no standard of what you do, You may conform as much as you like, or you can make something to WoW the world.

And remember, Even if other people don't like it, you are the only judge.

With making a custom guitar, it does leave endless possibilities
Oh and seriously you should find some worthless piece of plastic before you start, that is about the size of your guitar base, and then practice your design on it as if it was your guitar, much better to make mistakes on a worthless piece of plastic, rather than your Main Axe

It is really simple, most people don't note it because of the insane amount of simplicity.

Just open it up, there really is no way to screw it up.

One noteable factor is, the Whammy bar does have a little white square that will fall out, You need to keep that,

Hard to explain, easy to do, just try it

Gut out all the electric parts, take off the pick guard, scpray w/e u want on the guitar (i use Rostoleum, gbut Krylon works too), and put it together. Thats an undetailed explanation
