Have to wait through the Microsoft ad and MTV's "vision of the future" (omg teh virtual worlds), but afterwards you get live-action video of a full band cut with a good amount of on-screen.

Vocals at the top, looks like guitar on the left, drums in the center, bass on the right. Orange line that goes across the entire fret = kick drum?

--

edit: as noted, Welcome to the Jungle is the song used. MTV seems to confirm that: 1) Rock Band will be available for 360, PS3, and Wii. 2) Co-op is available via networking. If career mode can be played this way, count me in.

Both the guitarist and bassist are shown using Xplorer guitars, so no glimpse of the Strat, but the screen caps below show the microphone and the drums, as well as a bit of the UI:

I haven't been able to find any more on this... cnet may not realize the exclusive they managed to snag?

I want Rock Band sooo much now. Even more than I wanted it before. And even though it costs $120, maybe. =p

Meow.

The drums are looking to be fairly solid. Can't wait for this game!

The price has been estimated at $200 for the game and three paripharels in a bundle (guitar, drums, mic). I'd say $120 is more like the price with drums only, and probably $100 with just the guitar.

wow this is the shitt, if not for multiplay i will buy this anyway just to play drums and guitar in single play

i can anticipate the troublesome logistics involved with handling the huge boxes the drums will come in :p

Theres a big prob tho, who would ever want to do the singing? Thats the most boring part...
