I'm sure we're all aware of the fact that beating NIN isn't an impossibility (and I know I remember seeing that epic 1 point difference from 2 seasons ago). However, I assume that everyone would rather not have to face him altogether

While it wouldn't be impossible to beat NIN, the fact is, the only reason that he's not the 1 seed right now is because of the twists, which there are none in the playoffs. It's not impossible though, it's just very difficult.

Funny what byes do for you. I've just spent today squeezing songs that have rather shitty scores (by my standards anyway) and ended up nabbing a top 5 score on Them Bones (along with 5 other top 5 scores >_>). Also got to 17.8 million. Yay me!

Anywho, one assumption would be that you (those playing round one) are all glad I'm having a bye this week

I was somewhat lucky to go on to round 2 without competition. Them Bones is one of my worst songs to play in GH2. My hand hurts from all the chord changes, so I have to whammy less and let go of holds early. Despite FC and correct SP strat I'm 10000 points behind the best people in round 1.

Strangely, I don't have this problem in other songs, except Them Bones expert.

With Raw Dog I at least have a shot against NIN. He's one place above me on it. If I can get that new path down, who knows what'll happen.
