those are the different versions.
PAL is european?
NTSC is north american/other places(not sure on the other places lol)

I'm from the other side of the pond and yes, those are all the correct codes for the PAL version of GH2 on PS2. Can't help with the other ones though as I only have GH2 at the mo.

this might sound really dumb, but for SOME reason my codes just don't work all the time.
I'm entering them on the title screen like I do all the time, but they just don't give me the CHEAT ENABLED riff and take effect.
Does anyone else have this issue or at least heard of it?

Make sure you're not tilting your guitar when you're entering the code.

^ also the cheat has to be put in somewhat fast so keep trying (and make sure its the right one, i've tried for 2 minutes before realizing it was the wrong version once, lol)

It seems one of the mods or admins has amended my post to show that the GH80s codes should be the same for NTSC and PAL. So, if you have the PAL version, go ahead and try those codes.

Yes, I did that (I am a PAL user) and they are the same for Xbox360 and '80s (those games are binary identical to their regional counterparts).

| I'm yet to use a cheat in the game, but does it affect or scores or limit what modes you can play in or something or are they all just aesthetic? Can they be turned off? Prolly a stupid question, but I don't want to end up accidentally wipe out my expert beast and harlot scores or something just to see my guy with no guitar. |

The codes that say "(Saving Disabled)" means that the game will not save any scores while the code is active. Note also that the save-disabling codes also have an asterisk by the name, meaning that you must reset the game to disable the code.
Hyperspeed increases the scroll rate for the note chart. Some people find it easier since it spreads out the notes more, whereas others find it harder since the notes are coming at you much faster. However, the timing with which you must hit the notes remains the same. Hyperspeed is not considered to be cheating here at ScoreHero (it has been brought up many times in the past).
Performance mode makes you play with no HUD - so that means no score display, no Rock Meter, no Star Power Meter, but most importantly, no note chart!
All the other codes are just for fun, and have no effect on gameplay.
