If anyone has trouble with the end solo, I have a video of me hitting all of the notes. I hope this helps someone. PM or e-mail me and I will get you the file.[/code] |

the last solo is alot easier then the first i reckon, the end of the first with all the triples is hard to hit. |

The easiest way is to use "hammer-on/pull up" |

Ya the first solo is tough, the final one is much easier, much steadier. I finally nailed the last solo just now, but slipped twice in the first one. Those triples at the end are tough to get. I strum all the notes since I just can't get HOs and POs down. |

Those notes are not too fast to strum comfortably. They look really fast because of the condensed fretboard on medium, but really they are simple enough to strum without having to gamble with a hammer on.
Meanwhile, anyone willing to give up the right SP strat for this one? I FC'd it last night but came up 10,000 short of first. _________________

Haven't FC'd it .....yet???? Need to try this blast from the past again.
But with missing several what should be easy notes I come up 15K short with this. It's an obvious path that uses all SP, but the best path may play over 1 SP toward the end. or be something completely different
2-3-2-2-3-2-2-4 or 2-3-2-2-3-2-2-3?
get 2, use it, squeeze possible.
get 3, use it - this one is tight, barely enough for a full 8 measures. I have to back off on the whammy myself because I tilt and can't act. quick enough.
get 2, whammy full, use it
get 2, use asap during the red sp hold of #9. Gives you about 6.1 measures. I'll leave it to you to figure out how you wanna get 7.5 beats of whammy between sp8 and 9.
get 3, whammy full should give you 8 measures of sp, act. 1 measure later, which runs out the note before sp 13.
get 2, use it. another tight one. 7 measures if you act asap. You don't need to whammy every blue hold of sp 13.
here's where it can vary depending on skillz. I tend to go 2-4 (easier)
get 2, whammy 1st 2 segments of sp16, act. 2 beats into third section and it should end right before sp 17.
Collect 4, no need to whammy and use it anytime at the end.
2-3 is one more note....maybe
get 2, whammy full, act. after the break and it plays over sp17.
get 3 with whammy, use it and get the squeeze. _________________

Thanks for the chart
Now what do you think is the best time to hit SP . . . and should you have it maxed out before doing so? |

This has become my favourite song to play. It's the only one that gets my heart pumping (that solo at the end is awesome). |

heya guys.. ive been playing this song for the last couple days trying to max out my score.. ive fc'd it with a bunch of different SP paths.. and my best (264172) is using Slowhand's path with the 2-3 finish.. I know im pretty useless at squeezing.. and can every now and then get the first squeeze..
Im still short just 3228 points..
Cdw01 if you read this.. could you post your optimal path on a note chart, so i can see the activation points exactly?....
I know where at laest 600+ points are... after the first activation I know i can end up with 31988..(which im sure is optimal right) and after solo, the blue holds.. i need to whammy an extra beat or 2 to get the last R G before SP in measure 116, and I reckon i can get another note in measure 58..with a better whammy in the holds in measure 43/44/45, then few hold points in the short hold notes before the solo..
After that im lost...that still at least leaves me with at least 2400 points somewhere...
Id really like to get at least a top5 score here.. so really i need to hit that 600 points plus find another 1000 somewhere..
Cheers
EDIT: I used the star power path from the Hard chart... and got myself a 10 placed score with 264944 and I know i missed the first squeeze...(came out after measure 26 with 31888 but im still lost as to where the rest of the points are ;) _________________

Since you asked so nicely, sure. If someone is willing to make it look nice, go ahead.

Thanks a lot for your chart, Cdw! Although I can't seem to FC it again at the moment it's a great help. Even better is that thanks to this chart I was able to snag first on Easy with one little change (and I missed at least 1 squeeze). |
